Important Update: C.O.P.S. Kids Camp 2017 will start on Sunday, July 23 and will end on Saturday, July 29. This is a change from past years, as Camp has always started on a Monday and ended on a Sunday.

What is C.O.P.S. Kids Camp?

C.O.P.S. Kids Camp provides family interaction, camp activities, grief counseling, relaxation and lots of old-fashioned fun! Campers will have the opportunity to attend grief counseling sessions specifically designed for their needs and participate in activities such as swimming, fishing, arts and crafts, canoeing, ropes courses and campfire skits. It is our goal for campers to leave the week with a continuing support system and a tremendous sense of personal growth and self-awareness for the future.

Who is invited to attend Camp?

C.O.P.S. Kids Camp is planned for surviving children and their parent/guardian, ages 6-14, of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty, as determined by C.O.P.S. criteria. Other relatives and friends are not eligible to attend. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Where is Camp Located?

We will be staying at the Salvation Army Lake Camp in East Troy, Wisconsin, 45 minutes outside of Milwaukee.

How do we get to Camp?

If you are flying, you should plan on arriving at the Milwaukee General Mitchell Airport (MKE) by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23. You will be met by officers at the airport and transported to camp by bus. You will be transported back to the Milwaukee Airport on Saturday, July 29, by 10:30 a.m. Please be sure your return flight is after 12:00 p.m. to allow time for check-in and security checks.

If you are driving, you will need to arrive at the Salvation Army Lake Camp after 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, and stay through breakfast on Saturday, July 29. Meals and activities are planned; no late arrivals or early departures please.

What are the costs of Camp?

Your only expense is your travel to and from the Milwaukee Airport or to and from the Salvation Army Lake Camp if you are driving. Providing your credit card information will serve as a deposit for participa-tion in this program. If you attend camp as planned, C.O.P.S. will not charge your credit card. Your card could be charged a percentage of the cost per program participant if you fail to cancel your attendance or you do not show up for the program based on the C.O.P.S. Cancellation Policy.

Deadline for registration is June 23, 2017. Registrations will not be accepted after the deadline date.

Code of Conduct:

In order to provide a safe environment for all participants, C.O.P.S. has established and utilizes a Code of Conduct. Failure to abide by this code is cause for immediate expulsion from the program. Cost of expulsion will be the responsibility of the affected participant. C.O.P.S. and its counselors reserve the right to pre-qualify applicants and excuse those who may not be suitable for the program. All decisions concerning participation shall be final. A copy of the Code of Conduct will be sent to you after we receive your registration request.

This event is organized by National C.O.P.S. The sale of merchandise for any cause other than National C.O.P.S.

is strictly prohibited. All merchandise sold or distributed at any Hands-On Program must be approved by

National C.O.P.S. prior to the program.
