Attainment on entry to Nursery well below average in terms of age-related expectations

By end of Reception 2015, 46 %, are attaining an aggregate ‘good’ level of attainment using new EYFS Profile scores. Last year’s National average was 51% suggesting our pupils are below this year however good progress has been made taking into account the well below baseline for this cohort. Progress is however outstanding (HMI report)

Provision for EYFS for 2015 in Year 1 has already been established and transition links within school continue to grow.

September 2008 intake: low attainment on entry. High level of SEN/FSM throughout.

2008 – 2010: school requires improvement and in state of change and disruption. Attainment at end of KS1 broadly in line- assessment accurate ?

2010 – 2015: rates of progress uneven. Pupils leave with attainment broadly in line with national figures. Argument can be made for good progress since February half term with improved Aps on last year and impact of closing the gap strategies.

July –results in- compare to national fantastic reading!
