Sepak Takraw is a game played with 3 players on each team. It derived from Malaysia.

The name itself comes from two languages. Sepak is "kick" in Malay, and Takraw is the "ball" in Thai.

Introduction

The court and the net height and size are identical to those used in badminton.

The rules are very similar to those in volleyball

The use of hands is not permitted. Each player may touch the ball only once

before it is kicked over the net.

Rules to Sepak Takraw

There is no rotation in the defense position.

It becomes a score (net in) even if the ball touches the net before falling into the companion court.

The team that wins two of three sets which consist of 15 points gets the victory.

Court Set Up

Nowadays, some balls are covered with synthetic rubber to soften the impact of the ball on a player's body part

The center player is called a Tekong, where he/she serves the ball at all times.

The other two players are called Feeder and Striker/Killer.

There is no age limit. Sepak Takraw is not an olympic sport;

however, it is played in different countries Not popular in the United States
