MY IDEAS

I ha n ahn1ys des iret~ to. e_ xpound a few of my ideas to the Po~ter s taff, but up to tlus tune I had never received the appropriate

stimulus so ·as to precipitate my manifestation-<0f opinion. The can-. vass (I guess that's what they Hamed it-) was the r equired stimulus.

If this gets into print, I will be so selfish as to believe the Potnter to be entirely all right.

First of all I want to reiterate the poi•nt that instructors must b~ iustructed to r~fra in from keeping students for several minutes after the first bell has rung. Many of our faculty members .avoid this mis­-demeanor through scrupulous attention to the "ding-dong"; some of our faculty members seem entirely oblivious to the ringing of the bell (th e first one, I mean ) and, after due time, dismiss the class be­·Cause they themseh·es have tired.

For the gospe l today, I say unto ye sinning faculty members -' ' If ye hear the bell , answer it. ' '
