Habitat and Color
The Ruffed Lemur lives in the humid rainforests of Eastern Madagascar
The Black and White Ruffed Lemur has a black and white coat also known as a pelage with white tuffed ears and bright yellow eyes.
Weight and Size
The Ruffed Lemur weighs about 3.5-4.5kg or 7.3-9.9lb
The Lemur is about4ft or 1.2m from the top of its head to the tip of its tail
Diet and Offspring
The Ruffed Lemur eats a variety of things. Those are leaves, nectar, flowers, stick insects, and fungi. But the main thing that it eats is fruit.
The Black and White Ruffed Lemur can have up to 1-3 infants a year.
Predators and Remaining Population People are the
Lemurs predator. They take them to there house and keep them as pets. Then eventually they die because the are not in there habitat.
The Ruffed Lemur is critically in danger. There are 10-15 individuals per square mile. They are increasing more and more everyday.
Reason it is Endangered
The Ruffed Lemur is endangered because people are cutting down trees where the lemurs live. The farmers are also burning the trees down so they could have more land to farm on.
How We are Protecting them Now
We are keeping them in zoos until the have young. Then they release them into the wild.

It lives up to 18 years.To communicate they make a loud screeching noise.
There are usually 2-15 or more lemurs in a group at once.
The Black and White Ruffed Lemur is the biggest lemur ever.
