For the 16th edition of the Genoa Science Festival, AMY D arte spazio Milano presents a multidisciplinary and transportable pilot project, Awareness, on the pollution of seas from macro and micro plastics.Born in collaboration with Kubo Effetti Speciali, economART, the Smart Materials Department of the I.I.T. of Genoa, FAI Sondrio, and artists Alessio Barchitta, Franco Borgogno, Emanuele Dainotti, and Giuseppe La Spada, Awareness is made of several exhibition proposals that revolve around the concepts of bio-inspired technology and future-primitive.

The large exhibition halls will host:Turning Point @433_2050, a video by Franco Borgogno; In a changing sea, photographic exhibition of Giuseppe La Spada;Nozoki-BBW, 3D printing of bio-plastics of the I.I.T. of Genoa by Daniele Franz;Km 0, vegetal bioplastics of the Smart Materials Department of the I.I.T. of Genoa;Futuro_Primitivo, a site-specific and multicode collective work created by Daniele Franzi, Anna d'Ambrosio and Alessio Barchitta.

Thanks to Athanassia Athanassiou, Head of the Smart Materials Group of the I.I.T. of Genoa, for the supply of bio-plastic waste for Futuro Primitivo, to Ida Oppici of the FAI of Sondrio for the prints of In a changing sea by Giuseppe La Spada, and to Caparol, in the person of Massimiliano Piazzolla, for making the exhibition space more beautiful, in a unique city that calls for attention and care like Genoa. CONCEPTEverything revolves around a word, change: being a dependent variable, "becoming different" is not positive by definition. Hence our choice to talk about awareness.
