Meeting called to order: 7:05 PM Attending: John Castaldo, Ken Baumann, Tracy Zarodnansky, Hillary Spadaccini, Amy Menchin, Peter Simons Guests Attending: N/A Financial Report (Peter Simons) o Peter Simons will remind Chapters at next week’s Board of Directors meeting about using their funds. Old Business (Ken Baumann) o Review of January minutes: no issues. o The Senior Class Council will receive $8,500 for Senior Week, as originally discussed and approved. Tracy Zarodnansky will tweak a copy of her 2003 Senior Week budget to share with the next Senior Class for their utilization. o Accepted Students Day will take place on April 1. Ken Baumann will recirculate the volunteer sheet at next week’s meeting. New Business (Ken Baumann) o John Castaldo advised that the Executive Committee should start thinking about the FY18 budget. The budget should be done by June. Peter suggested a minimum of $1,500 be budgeted for the year for events. The Executive Committee discussed insurance issues, including weighing the cost of insurance for events added at the last minute vs. paying a premium in advance, even if an event does not end up happening. o John and Ken are using a PDF to spread the word and obtain sponsors for the 5K Race and Fun Run. Campus police have agreed to help with the event. Tracy will forward a list of local businesses to John to pass along to Chuck Wright. Directors expired term limits, as well as the two open Board of Directors positions. Current Executive Committee members whose terms end and have the option for a third year are the following: Ken Baumann, Peter Simons, and Hillary Spadaccini. Current Board of Directors members eligible for a second term are the following: Hillary Spadaccini, Patsy Marino, and Ian Ruderman.

o Peter discussed upcoming events: a possible holiday event, possible Lambertville/New Hope event, possible Laurita winery/food truck event, the Phillies event on June 3, the Asbury Hotel event, and the Top Golf event.

o John discussed the Leadership Awards, which will be presented at a brunch during Alumni Weekend. The winners are Prerna Sinha ’12 (Young Alumni), Carol Kivler ’72 (Humanitarian), James “Butter” Allen ’76 (Distinguished Alumni), and Eric Szabo ’97 (Alumni Citation).

o The Homecoming Committee will meet on March 22. Brendan Gallagher will continue to represent the Alumni Association at these meetings.

Alumni Affairs Update (John Castaldo)o John gave an update on Alumni Reunion Weekend. A Golden Lions event will recognize

alumni with class anniversaries of 50+ years. The Alumni Celebration on Green Lawn will include a procession of the 50th anniversary class, veterans, and the Alumni Association. Volunteers are still needed for the weekend.

o John discussed the creation of an Office of Alumni Affairs Task Force. The purpose of the task force is to study national trends and what type of programming in which The College should invest. The task force will also study what else The College should be doing to create meaningful relationship.
