Icon Petroleum Ltd. is the manufacturer of lubricants, greases and coolants. The plant consists of advanced and automated machineries to process the base oil to produce the listed products.

Highlights: Delegates toured the plant and it was observed that the factory is running at 10%

Brigade Road is one of the biggest commercial centres and busiest shopping areas of Bangalore. It has many shopping centres and retail outlets of international brands. Delegates witnessed the different colours of India especially of youths in the visit.

KARNATAKA UDYOG MITRA is a 'single contact point' for all investors who are looking at setting up businesses in Karnataka. Bal Pharma’s chairman and officials were keen in setting-up pharmaceutical bulk packaging unit in Hamadan in first phase.

Delegates promised them to facilitate in procuring license to import bulk medicines and assist in setting-up of a packaging unit in Hamadan

Discussion followed on payment issues.

Bal Pharma has agreed to dispatch a team of experts to Iran by October first week to study market requirements and feasibility.

HCCIMA confirmed to send an official invitation soon.

Visit Federation Karnataka Chambers of Commerce (FKCCI) Office, K.G. Road, Bangalore14:00-15:00 hours

The precursor of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry, was established on May 8, 1916, in Bangalore. It is a medium to broaden the outlook of the merchants in areas that will be affecting them and also the economy of the state. It would also afford them an opportunity of personal service and jointly deliberation and action concerning the larger issues pertaining to Industry, Trade and Commerce.

Mr. Sampath Kumar briefed about the ancient relations of India and Iran. He cherished historical cooperation between the two civilized nations.

He promised to cooperate and introduce the top Indian Pharma Companies to invest in Hamadan and other parts of Iran.

He asked the delegation to explore mutual investment opportunities in both the countries with mutual benefit and cooperation is always welcomed.

Day 4: (Thursday, 4.9.2014)

Visit to Mysore

Mysore is located about 170 kms towards south of Bangalore. It is an important ancient city of South India. It was ruled by the Wodeyar dynasty and briefly by Nawab Hyder Ali Khan and Tipu Sultan. The cultural ambience and achievements of Mysore earned it the sobriquet Cultural capital of Karnataka.

Mysore is noted for its palaces, including the famous Mysore Palace, and for the festivities that take place during the Dasara festival when the city receives a large number of tourists. It lends its name to the Mysore style of painting, the sweet dish Mysore Pak, the Mysore Peta (a traditional silk turban) and the garment known as the Mysore silk saree. Tourism is the major industry, while information technology has emerged as a major employer alongside the traditional industries.

Delegates visited popular places and paid their respect at tomb of its sultan and nawabs.

Day 5: (Friday, 5.9.2014)

Visit to ALIPURAlipur is located about 70 kms towards north of Bangalore. Alipur is a small town with a population of around 20000 people among that 16000 are Shias mainly settled from Iran during Muslim rule in India. It is a scenic place surrounded by lush green mountains and fields. It is famous for Gems, trade, industry, agriculture and livestock. From recent times it is stepping to become an educational hub of Chikkabalapur District., Karnataka.After an overnight stay at landmark Alipur palace, delegates went around Alipur and visited:

A. Noble School Alipur (NSA)9:00–10:30 hours

Noble School has over 1600 students enrolled in Nursery to Pre-University Classes (in the academic year 2014-15) from Alipur and from more than 40 surrounding villages. School has two separate spacious and secure academic blocks (R1 & R2) for Boys & Girls with an admin block in between. With over 80 qualified and experienced teachers and 40 non-teaching staff makes the school one of the District’s Top and Taluk’s largest school.

Noble School inculcate quality education to mainly rural population in a safe and educative environment at affordable fee with international facilities like Swimming Pool; Computer lab; Separate fully equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs; Math Lab; English Lab (Chipper Sage); Montessori Lab (imported); Science Park; Separate two Libraries (Junior & Senior) with 5000 books and 30 magazines; Five Digi-classes (HCL); Teachers’ Conference and Training Center; Open Amphitorium; Indoor games; Play pen (for KG & LPS) and wide range of games and sports equipments are placed in a three acres of ground surrounded by salubrious natural life.

Highlights: School students warmly welcomed the guests with band and guard of

honour.

Mr. Mousavi, addressed the students in special assembly and wished all its teachers a happy teachers’ day. In his interaction he introduced Hamedan and its rich history. He threw light on the great scientist and philosopher Abu Ali Sina (Avicena) and recited his poetry.

Delegates toured campus and inspected school facilities. Joyfully interacted with junior most students on Noble Pre-school.

B. Zainabiya Composite College10:45-11:30 hours

Zainabiya School is the first school for girls only commenced in the year 1994. At present it has over 700 students in Pre-school to Pre-University with 24 teachers and 8 other staff members. The school has the merit of being World Federation’s success story internationally. School is been securing 100% pass result with high percentage and being awarded for securing district’s best results and holds many academic records in the district.

Highlights: Delegates visited the high school and Pre-University classes. Mr. Mousavi

briefly explained about Hamadan. Offered students to visit this beautiful city.

Head Miss briefly explained about the school’s establishment and commitment of teachers towards the school. She informed the delegates how the school is inspired from Islamic revolution of Iran.

Mr. Mousavi offered school staff to visit Hamadan city on educational trip as it’s well known for medicine and great scientist Abu Ali Sina.

C. Visit to ARshan Building Products Pvt. Ltd. 11:30-11:45

Plant is being set-up for the manufacturing of Aerated Autoclaved Concrete Blocks. This is a light- weight building material produced by autoclaving a set mix of fine siliceous materials such as ground sand or fly ash and a binder like port land cement or lime. Lightness is achieved by incorporating a large proportion of closed microscopic pores in the slurry with the help of entraining or foaming agent.
