ACTIVITIES 2012-13
The English Association of the college was inaugurated on the 19th of December by Dr. Ancy Eapen, Associate Professor, Dept. of English, U.C. College, Aluva.
The manuscript magazine prepared by our students, ‘Lustrare 2012’ was released by Dr. Ancy Eapen on 19 Dec 2012
Dr. Molly Joseph, who was just back from the International Poetry Fest held at Guntur, presented to the Department The Poetic Bliss, a collection of poetry published by the fest. She also read out two of her poems published in the collection
Mise-en-scene: A workshop on short film and feature film (15-02-2013). Mr. A. Sahadevan, Associate Editor, India Vision discussed the grammar of movie making - shot, scene, sequence.
Onam Celebrations
Students of our department won the overall championship in Arts.
The students of our department participated in the rally competition organised by women’s study centre of the college in association with YWCA and secured the First position with cash prize.
II and III Communicative English Students participated in the programme organised by the Rainbow Channel at Bharat Matha College on 28-6-2012
Communicative English students along with tourism club members visited the Folklore Museum & Kochi Biennale
Save Periyar Campaign’ -Students participated in this cleanliness campaign at Aluva Sivarathri Manapuram
III BA communicative English students organized a film fest
Communicative English students conducted their annual fest and it was a grand success. Actor Asif Ali inaugurated the function. Many colleges took part in the competitions held.
