iWalk – Mapmyfitness Track and map your walks. Discover new routes to walk. 1 If using a tablet, you can download the Mapmyfitness app from your device’s app store. 1 If using a tablet, you can download the Mapmyfitness app from your device’s app store. If using a laptop, search for My Fitness Pal on Google.

2 To use Mapmyfitness, you will need to create an account using your email address. Tap Sign up.

Make a note of your user name and password for future use.

7 You are now ready to map a route.

8 Select ‘Routes’ along the top. This gives a drop-down menu. Select find routes.

9 Insert ‘Stockport’ in the near box. Under ‘Search Routes’ select the drop-down arrow and select walk.

Select ‘Search’.

10 All routes will be listed below the map.

11 Select one of the named routes, this is now shown on the map with red markings showing the route.

12 Select ‘Create Route’ from near the top of the page.

13 Your location is displayed, or you can insert a location. Type ‘Councilor Lane, Cheadle, Stockport’.

14 A map showing the area around Councilor Lane will be displayed.

We will select a circular route around the area.

To do this click once on the map at your start point.

Now click again further along. You will see that your route is being marked in blue.

15 Your selected distance will be displayed, based on your clicks.

Make a route walking from your current location, that distances 2 miles, and finishes at your current location.
