LEE - The man whose body wasdiscovered in a wooded area alongJenkins Road' Saturday died afterburning and stabbing himself. ac-cording to officials.

An autopsy report indkated thatSteven Allen, 31. of 50 Maplecrest. I

Newmarket, died from a combina-tion of smoke inhalation. body burnsand a self-inflicted stab wound to hisabdomen. according to AsSistant At-torney General Mark Zuckerman.

Allen's badly burned body was dis-covered by a hunter Saturday morn-ing in a' densely wooded area off ofJenkins Road, Zuckerman said.

Although initially labeling the inci-dent a suspicious' death, Zuckermansaid it had been deemed a suicide

For many years she was a stitch-ing room foreman at Alrose Shoe Co.in Exeter.

She was a communicant of St.Mary's Church, Newmarket. and amember of the Catholic Daughters ofAmerica. Court Hector Benoit.

She was a member of the LampreyAerie Auxiliary Unit No. 1934of New-market. ,

She was predeceased by her hus-band. Theodore Allen Sr., who diedin 1964.

Born in Dover, N.H., March 11,1937, he was the son of Peter andStella (Koutrelakos) Antonoplos.

He was a graduate of Dover HighSchool, and was a 1959 graduate ofthe University of New Hampshire,and was a member of the studentsenate. He was also the recipient ofthe Degree of Chevalier Internation-al Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay.He received his masters de-gree in educational psychology gui-dance and research and personneladministration and psychology andsociology research and evaluationmethods from the University of Miss-ouri in 1966.

He later received a N.D.E.A. fel-lowship in guidance, human develop-ment and psychometrics at the Uni-versity of Toledo in Wiesbaden,Germany, a N.D.E.A. fellowship inadvaneed guidance, human develop-ment on psychometrics, University

of Toledo, Ohio; a N.D.E.A: fellow-ship on personnel and guidance andadministration, University of Miss-ouri. Docto~al assistant in residence,Phi Beta Kappa Int., Bloomington,Ind., and his doctorate degree fromIndiana University in 1971.

Born March 5, 1949, in Exeter, the son of Joseph andCecile (Laroche) Arsenault, he was raised in Newmarketand was a graduate of Newmarket High School, Cla:ss of1967.

He served in U.S. Army in Viet Nam and receivedvarious medals and decorations.

He attended the University of New Hampshire and NewHampshire College in Manchester, where he was selectedStudent Honor Society member.

Mr. Arsenault was formerly employed at Davidson Rub-ber Co. in Dover for several years. He lived in Boston,Mass. and was employed at various travel agencies there.

Audette was a member of OurLady of LouJ:des Church in Pittsfieldand a former member of the New-market fire Department, the New-market Elks and Eagles Clubs, andparticipated in many shipyard re-unions since his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 27years, Irene (Paradis) Audette ofPittsfield; a son, William M.Audetteof Ft.
