Current statusTitle : Information technology Open Systems Interconnection Procedures for the operation of OSI Registration Authorities: Registration of object identifier arcs for ID-based applications and services FCDRegistration organization (ITU TSB)5.2 It is within the mandate of ITU-T | ISO/IEC to organize registration as specified in this Recommendation | International Standard. In order to do this, ITU-T | ISO/IEC appoints, according to their internal requirements and rules, an organization to act as the RA for this Recommendation | International Standard. NOTE 1 The administrative role is currently performed by the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) that acts as the formal Registration Authority.

NID OID registrationKoreas Comment (SC6 N 13384)We propose to be changed the Note 1 of this specification as follows;The administrative role is performed by the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) that acts as the formal RA, and the NIDA (National Internet Development Agency of Korea, http://www.nida.or.kr/english) as a management organization is appointed by TSB. NIDA has been working for the management of Internet address, DNS system, and the operation of International root DNS mirror system. Since 2007, NIDA has started RFID code registration services for Mobile RFID service which is kind of NID applications. For OID managements, NIDA has been managing OID arcs under {0 2 450}, {0 2 480} and {0 2 481}.
