    October 1, 1974

    Meeting #4

    The meeting was called to order by chairwoman Crystal Barnard at 12:13pm.

    II. Roll Call Present: Alpha GammaSigma, Baha'i Club, Bicycle Club, Christians on

    Campus, Christians Science Organization, Circle K, Electronics Club, Forestry Club, French Club, Meditation Society, Reaper-tory Therapy Club, Veteran's Club, Women's and Men's Luncheon Club, Gay People's Union, Hiking Club and Students Devine Energy Club.

    III. Approval of Agenda Addit1Qns: Reports - a. Concessions, b. Club Day; Club Constitutions -a. Students Devine Energy Club; Ad Hoc Committee - a. Students for Political Action. The agenda was approved as changed.

    IV. Approval of Minutes Christian Science Organization and Forestry Club were present at the September 24 meeting. The minutes were approved as corrected.

    V. Appointments - none.

    VI. Reports a. Concessions - Electronics Club reported on the football game con-

    cessions for Friday night.

    b. Club Day - Next Wednesday from ll:OOam to 1:00pm. Sign-up sheet in the Student Activities Office.

    VII. Club Constitutions a. Students Devine Energy Club - Morey Kucich moved to accept the club

    with Dick Blankfield as faculty advisor. Sandy Waterson seconded the motion, it carried.

    VIII. Ad Hoc Committee a. Students for Political Action - Jim Fitz Gerald moved to accept

    Students for Political Action as an ad hoc committee with Harvey Hanson as faculty advisor. Sandy Waterson seconded the motion, it carried.

    IX. Old Business a. Freshman Elections/Poll Volunteers - Vote from lO:OOam to 2:15pm

    in front of the Coop tomorrow. Volunteers are needed to work the polls, sign-up sheet in Student Activities.

    b. Inter Club Council Representative to C.S.A. - postponed until a later date.

    c. I.C.C. Committee on Speakers - another person is needed to serve on the committee.

  • X. New Business - none

    XI. Money Making Requests a. Christians on Campus - Pat Buell moved the request to have a car

    wash on October 5, place not yet known. Pat Carelton seconded the motion, it carried.

    b. Circle K - Morey Kucich moved to accept the request to collect food for the Santa Rosa Rescue Mission. Pat Carelton seconded the motion, it carried.

    c. Circle K and Alpha Gamma Sigma - Pat Carelton moved to accept the request to hold a Lost and Found Auction on Wednesday October 9 from l2:00pm to 1:00pm on the outdoor stage. Morey Kucich seconded the motion, it carried.

    XII. Announcements Freshman Elections - October 2, lO:OOam to 2:15pm in front of the Coop.

    Box for Circle K food drive will be in the Student Activities Office during the next week.

    Seminars on the Associated Students will be held on Monday at noon in the Assembly Room.

    XIII. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 12:41 by chairwoman Crystal Barnard.

    MINUTES OCTOBER 8, 1974 MEETING #5

    The meeting was called to order by Steve Hemphill at 12:08.

    II. Roll Call Present: Alpha Gamma Sigma, Baha'i Club, Christians on Campus,

    Christian Science Organization, Circle K, Electronics Club, Forestry Club, French Club, Hiking Club, Ski Club, Meditation Society, Veteran's Club and Archery Club.

    III. Approval of Agenda Additions to agenda: Money Making Requests, item e. University of Islam. The agenda was approved as changed.

    IV. Approval of Minutes The minutes were approved as written.

    V. Appointments -none.

    VI. Reports a. Used Book Faire - Circle K and Alpha Gamma Sigma will sponsor the Book Faire on October 16 from 10:00 to 2:00 on the Coop Patio.

    b. Club Day - Volunteers are needed to help set-up and take 'down tables. See April Lynn in the Student Activities Office.

    VII. Club Constitutions a. Ski Club - Beth Blanke moved to reinstate the Ski Club with Doris Tolks as faculty advisor. John Brechenridge seconded the motion, it carried.

    VIII. Ad Hoc Committees - none.

    I~. Old Business a. Inter Club Council representative to C.S .• A. - Beth Blanke was choosen to be the I.C.C. representative to C.S.A.

    X. New Business - none.

    XI. Money Making Requests a. Used Book Faire - Pat Carleton moved to accept Alpha Gamma Sigma and Circle K's request to sponsor the Book Faire on Wednesday October 16. John Solowinka seconded the motion, it carried.

    b. Circle K Films - Sandy Waterson moved to accept Circle K's request to show films on October 25 and 26 to raise money for dues and con-ventions. David Miller seconded the motion, it carried.

    c. Circle K Raffle - Jim Fitz Gerald moved to accept Circle K's request to hold a raffle to benefit Multiple ScJLerosas. Tickets will be $.50 each, on sale October 28 through November 14. John Brechen-ridge seconded the motion, it carried.

  • d. Kiwanis Pancake Day Tickets - David Miller moved to let Circle K sell tickets for the October 31st Pancake Day. Sandy Waterson seconded the motion, it carried.

    e. University of Islam - Sandy Waterson moved request to sponsor soliciting of funds and on campus by University of Islam members. motion, it carried.

    XII. Announcements

    Arts and Lectures - Tuesday 2:00-4:00p.m.

    MINUTES October 29, 1974 Meeting #8

    ' The meeting was called to order by chairwoman Crystal Barnard at l2:15pm.

    II. Roll Call Absent: Baha'i Club, Bicycle Club, Ski Club and Women's and Men's Lunch-

    eon Club.

    III. Approval Of Agenda Added item VIII a - Flournoy for Governor (Republican). The agenda was approved as changed.

    IV. Approval Of Minutes The minutes were approved as written.

    v. Appointments - none.

    VI. Reports a. C.S.A. - Beth Blanke reported on items discussed at Monday's meeting,

    including Student Activities Open House.

    b. Circle K - Sandy Waterson reported on Circle K's recent activities.

    VII. Club Constitutions a. Native Americans - Steve Clover moved to reinstate the Native American

    Club with the provision that they get a faculty advisor by the next meeting. Frank Roda seconded the motion, it carried.

    VIII. Ad Hoc Committees a. Flournoy for Governor (Republican) - Beth Blanke moved to make Flournoy

    for Governor an ad hoc committee. John Breckenridge seconded the motion, it carried.

    IX. Old Business - none.

    X. New Business a. Blood Drive - Volunteers are needed to work the pledge table from

    now until the drive on November 15. Also people are needed to work the day of the drive and to donate coQkies and juice. If your club can help, please contact April Lynn Williams.

    I XI. Money Making Requests

    a. Veteran's Club - Jim FitzGerald moved to accept the request for the Veteran ' s Club to sponsor Suzy Wallace to sell leather goods on campus. Sandy Waterson seconded the motion, it carried.

    b~ , French Club Turkey Raffle -Morey Kucich moved to allow the French Club to hold a turkey raffle. Tickets will cost $.25 each and will be sold from November 4 - November 22. Jim FitzGerald seconded the motion, it carried.

    XII. Announcements - none.

    XIII. Adjournment Chairwoman Crystal Barnard adjourned the meeting at 12:36pm.

    MINUTES November 5, 1974 Meeting #9

    The meeting was called to order by chairwoman Barnard at 12:08pm.

    II. Roll Call Absent: United Black Alliance.

    III. Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved as written.

    I V. Approval of Minutes The minutes were approved as written.

    V. Reports a. Club Reports- Hiking Club willbe climbing Mt. St. Helena

    this weekend. Circle K went to a convention last weekend and is selling tickets for a multiple Sclorosis raffle.

    b. Donkey Baske~ball - interested clubs are: Circle K, Veteran's Club, Alpha Gamma Sigma and the Songleaders and Cheerleaders.

    VI. Club Constitutions - none.

    VII. Ad Hoc Committees a. Greystone Committee - Charles Smith moved to accept Greystone

    Committee as an ad hoc committee with John Ray as faculjy advisor and Joseph Hawkes as chairman. John Breckenridge seconded the motion, it carried.

    VIII. Old Business a. I.C.C. Committee on Speakers - one more student represent-

    ative is needed on the committee.

    b. Blood Drive - volunteers are needed to work the pledge table, to work tije drive ~nd to donate cookies and juice.

    IX. New Business a. Student Bazaar will be held next Wednesday, Nov. 13 from

    lOam to 2pm. A sign up sheet will be posted in St!,ldent Act-ivities.

    X. Money Making Requests a. Steve Hemphill moved I.C.C. sponsor the Student Bazaar on

    November 15. The motion was seconded and carr~ed.

    b. Christians on Campus Pot Luck - Steve Hemphill moved to allow Christians on Campus to hold a pot luck dinner on November 18, $1.00 each, at 905 Mendocino Ave. Jim FitzGerald seconded the motion it carried.

    XI. Announcements Donkey Basketball Meeting - Nov. 5, 1974 - following I.C.C. Election Day - Today - remember to vote!!!

    XII. Adjournement The meeting was ad journed by chairwoman Barnard at 12:42pm.

    a. Circle K - meets fridays at noon - drawing fro the Multiple Sclerosis raffle is November 20 at noon.

    b. J. c. Football Team, Bearcubs - beat Contra Costa, holds first place in their league.

    VI. Club Constitutions a. Horticulture Club - John Brechenridge moved to approve the club with Bob

    Cannard as faculty advisor. Steve Hemphill seconded the motion, it carried.

    VII. Ad Hoc Committees - none.

    VIII. Old Business a. Blood Drive - Volunteers are needed to work the drive, to make cookies and

    bring juice. Sign up with April Lynn Williams.

    IX. New Business a. Infromation Table for Bahai- Tom Furrer moved to approve Bahai's table fov

    November 18 - November 22 from 11 - 2:00 in fr¢nt :. of the Coop. Frank Roda seconded the motion, it carried.

    X. Money Making Requests a. Forestry Club - Steve Hemphill moved to grant the club's request to sell

    Redwood Burls for $1.00-$20.00 from November 25. Denise Woodard seconded the motion, it carried.

    XI. Announcements Introductory to Trancendental Meditation, Wednesday, Nov. 13, 7:30p.mi ~ Pioneer Hall, Assembly Room.

    Club Information Sheets are now available.

    Student Bazaar - 10 - 2p.m. - tomorrow - on the Coop Patio.

    b. Club Reports - Electronics Club is no longer working the (;) concessions at Bailey Field. Forestry Club - The club collected $26.00 on Redwood Burl Sales.

    c. Blood Drive - 60 pints of blood were collected at Friday's drive . Thank you to all who helped and contributed.

    d... Foo.tball Playoffs - Regional Playoffs wikk be held on Friday November 29 at Bailey Fields.

    b. I.G.G. Committee on Speakers - David Herrington reported on the faculty position· on tl)e committee. The faculty no longer wishes to participate ·-on' t:Qe committee.

    X. New Business a. Best Club Tro phey- Club Applications will be due in at 3:00

    on December 10. The award will be presented on December 17.

    XI. Money Making Requests a. Frank Roda moved and Steve Hemphill seconded the motion to

    let the Veteran's Club hold a food drive for needy families. Rafflettickets will be sold also to get money to buy perishables. Tne mo 2on carrlea.

  • b. John Solonika moved and Jackie Stewart second the motion to allow the Meditations Society to sponsor the Gideons to pass out new testaments on campus on Thursday November 21 from 11 to 1. The motion carried.

    c. Steve Hemphill moved and Jackie Stewart seconded the motion for the Veteran's Club to sponsor Steve Schmier to sell his jewelry in front of the coop until Christmas Vacation. The motion carried.

    XII . Announcements Multiple Sclerosis Tickets- Last Chance!!! Introduct!bry Lecture to Trancendental Meditation - tonight at

    7:30p.m. in Pioneer Hall Assembly Room Petitions for Associated Student Bocil'y Offices availab(le now

    Native Americans and United Black Alliance.

    III. Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved as written.

    IV. Approval of Minutes The minutes were apptoved as written.

    V. Appointments - none.

    VI. Reports: a. Donkey Basketball - The donkeys have been reserved for January 28. As

    yet no facility has been reserved for the event.

    b. c.s.A. - Beth Blank reported on Monday's activities.

    c. Club Reports - Forestry Club and lhhe Greystone Club reported on their club activities.

    VII. Club Constitutions - none.

    VIII. Ad Hoc Committees - none.

    IX. Old Business a. Best Club Trophey Award - The Forestry Club was presented with the

    Best Club Trophey and Alpha Gamma Sigma and Circle K were presented with Honorable Mentions.

    XI. Money Making Requests a. Stained Glass I Dan Sloss - Tom Furrer moved, Jackie Stewart seconded

    a motion for Dan Sloss to sell his goods ranging in price from $5.00 -$12.00 until December 20, 1974 with the Forestry Club as sponsor. The motion carried.
