Optical Character

Recognition (OCR)

OCR is the process in which a

document is converted into a text

editable format.

When a page of text is scanned into

a computer without OCR software,

all the computer sees is a collection

of graphical bits, or an image. In

other words, it has no idea that there

is text on the page, much less what

the text says.

The OCR software processes the

scanned pages to differentiate

between images and text and

determine what letters are

represented in the light and dark

areas. This allows for the search

of key words or phrases within

documents.

Project Brief

The Expo Group offer Facility Management services in print and

design to Woodside Energy and has done so for the last 20 years.

The “Australian for Life” and “Live at Woodside” campaigns both

involved the transformation of the Woodside Plaza foyer with

window, floor and lift graphics as well as a variety of signage

and displays. Expo also printed and installed the larger than life

‘Go Freo’ Sign for Dockers 2015 Finals Campaign.

Project Brief

The Expo Group were tasked with providing a raw and unique

interior for Victory Motorcycles new premises in Victoria Park.

This involved using vinyl on painted face brick, wrapping their

administration office and creating an industrial look within the

showroom. This install ended up winning the Large Format

Printing Industries Craftsman Award for 2011.
