Enlighten your futureLEDs - light emitting diodes - have been popular for some years as indicator

lights. The red light of your digital clock at night, the green light from your cell

phone display, … LEDs are everywhere. Soon they will also be widely used as

a light source in your house.

Because of their fundamentally different nature from standard light bulbs, LEDs

can be made so safe and energy efficient that it is perfectly possible to leave

them on all night, with very little energy consumption. This makes them the

ideal safety and orientation lighting for you and your family.

What are the advantages of LEDs? LEDs are long-lasting, extremely strong and promise to be many times more

energy efficient than current incandescent lights. So LEDs have a variety of

advantages which we have summarised for you:

Quality LEDs have a measured life span of up to 100.000 hours.

• Shock proof

As LEDs have no fragile filament or glass, they are very tough and more

durable than any other light source.

LEDs require only a fraction of energy compared to traditional bulbs. They are

LEDs operate on safety extra low voltage (SELV - 3,2V) which results in cost

LEDs produce very little heat which makes them extremely safe to use.

MASSIVE LED applicationsLED efficiency, brightness and lifespan have advanced at

an amazing speed over the past years. As one single LED is

very small, a low light emittance can be expected. Massive

products group several LEDs on a circuit board in order to

increase the light output.

However, LED products still have to be considered as

orientation and decorative lighting! The small dimension of

LEDs allows the creation of neat products, ideal for garden

patios and driveways, as well as indoor applications.

Massive outdoor LED products work with LED modules,

containing a circuit board with multiple LEDs and a power

converter. This power converter is necessary as LEDs do

function on safety extra low voltage (SELV - 3,2V). Massive LED

modules are exchangeable.
