Saxion’s Honours Programmes offer

you the chance to develop into an ex-

ceptional student and a high-potential

starter on the job market. Each Honours

Programme runs alongside your regular

study programme.

TopicsSaxion offers Honours Program-

mes covering a range of different

topics, such as entrepreneurialism,

personal leadership, globalisation,

project management and social

awareness.

Each programme also helps you to develop

competences including personal reflection,

research skills, critical analysis and ‘out-

of-the box’ thinking. Whichever route you

choose, you can be sure it will broaden your

horizons and deepen your understanding.

You will work closely with students from

other programmes as well as with professio-

nals from industry, and be expected to tackle

real-life cases.

As an Honours student, you will re-

ceive a ‘Bachelor with Honours’ de-

gree and become a ‘Reflective Profes-

sional’, which gives you a head start

on the job market.

High demands An Honours Programme has plenty to offer,

but it also makes high demands on you as

an undergraduate student in return. The

process begins in your second year of study,

and lasts three years in total. If you decide

to take part, you will evolve into a 'Reflec-

tive Professional'; you will learn to think

differently, which will help to set you apart

in the eyes of prospective employers. And,

thanks to the strong foundation of your de-

gree programme, you will be able to bridge

the gaps between different

disciplines – allowing you to

bieden jou de kans om je te ontwikke-

len tot een buitengewone student en

talentvolle starter op de arbeidsmarkt.

Honours Programmes worden naast je

gewone opleiding aangeboden.

Thema’sIn de Honours Programmes komen

verschillende thema’s aan bod. Denk

aan ondernemerschap, persoonlijk

leiderschap, internationalisering, pro-

jectmanagement en maatschappelijk

bewustzijn.

Tijdens het programma besteed je aandacht

aan persoonlijke reflectie, onderzoeksvaar-

digheden en 'out-of-the-box’ denken. Binnen

alle trajecten vindt verbreding en verdieping

plaats en werk je nauw samen met stu-

denten van verschillende opleidingen en

professionals uit het werkveld. Ook word

je geconfronteerd met prikkelende vraag-

stukken uit de praktijk.

OntwikkelingSuccesvolle deelname draagt bij aan

je persoonlijke ontwikkeling én vormt

een pluspunt op je cv. Als honours

student studeer je af als ‘bachelor

with honours’ en ben je een ‘Reflec-

tive Professional’, die een voorsprong

heeft op de arbeidsmarkt.

Hoge eisen Een Honours Programme biedt veel, maar

stelt ook hoge eisen aan jou als hbo-student.

Het traject begint in het tweede studiejaar

en duurt in totaal drie jaar. Als deelnemende

student ontwikkel je jezelf tot ‘Reflective Pro-

fessional’. Je onderscheidt je voor toekom-

stige werk gevers; je leert anders denken. En

je wordt – met je bachelor opleiding als basis

– een bruggen bouwer tussen vakgebieden.

Zo geef je een impuls aan innovatie en maak

je het verschil.

"Mij is altijd verteld dat studeren op het hbo

hard werken is. Maar eenmaal begonnen viel

mij dat mee. Door het Honours Programme

te volgen krijg ik de kans om het maximale

uit mijzelf te halen! Een studiereis naar Zwit-

serland, een onderzoek voor het werkveld en

inspiratie op doen met andere studenten, zijn

activiteiten die wij tijdens de bijeenkomsten
