The Stelton brand is characterized by its rigid design language, based on the success
with Cylinda-Line designed by Arne Jacobsen. Today, Stelton offers four different
design-lines, classic (including the Cylinda-Line), explore, i:cons and norstaal. The
pedigree of the brand is: surprising, innovative, functional, high-quality Scandinavian
design – it is the brand that tickles the design-gene. Stelton receives a number of
design awards each year for its innovative products.
Choose Stelton – the original.

The vacuum jug by Erik Magnussen
Colours are an inspiration to all of us. Twice
a year at Stelton we launch new fashion
colours in the iconic vacuum jug designed
by Erik Magnussen and the bread bag by
Klaus Rath.
Stelton is known for setting the colour trend
in the home decor industry.
These colours will grace most tables and
are a result of nature’s inspiration, the
materials and fabrics, as well as colours
that can be found in any Autumnal forest.
Grey, sand, khaki “ton sur ton” are also
used widely within fashion this Autumn.
For this reason we have named the new
colour range Milano – city of fashion!
For Spring 2011 we presented vacuum
jugs and bread bags in pastel colours to
bring the freshness, positivity and inspiration
of the season inside your home to furnish
your table.
Today, after several years of recession, we
are very concerned about the environment,
the lifetime of a product and good values.
The interest for new pop-up brands has been
replaced by a step back towards classic
design. The Stelton vacuum jug designed in
1977 exists today in 18 different colours and
by choosing your colour you can give your
own personal touch to the table.

Simply for coffeePotter by Jehs & Laub
We did an interview with Klaus Rath to
get to know a little bit more about how
he works…
Where do you get your inspiration?
I approach design mainly from a problem
solving perspective, so it’s mostly method
and hard work.
But part of it is also to study what occupies
people, so I spend a lot of time reading
magazines, surfing the internet, and looking
around in stores.
Who is your favorite designer (and why)?
Probably Jonathan Ive from Apple. He is
head of the design team at Apple. They are
consistently creating designs that have an
impact on people all over the world – all
ages and cultures. They have changed,
and are still changing, the way we use
electronic equipment.
What is your favorite design made
by yourself, – and why?
It’s always the one I’m working on…
My favorite Stelton product must be the
bread bag. It’s seldom you get to do
something that is so simple and functional
at the same time.
What is your favorite product at home?
My bike! I have a nice carbon fiber race
bike that I ride during the weekends.
What did you buy recently for your home?
Two sofas for our living room. It was about
time. The old ones were from when we were
students.
