Pregnancy Help Center News

A group of ladies from our Connec-

tion Group were privileged to have

lunch with some of the staff and

take a tour of the facilities in Spring

of 2013. Our Connection Group also

collected a large amount of needed

items to donate to the Center. What

a blessing to be part of a ministry

that encourages their clients to

make a decision for life and pro-

vides them with the needed training,

physical and material things they

need to be a successful parent!

Listed below is the Center

Total Clients Served 3277 Pregnancy Tests 1223 At Risk for Abortion 647 (positive tests only) Intend to Carry after counseling 611 Sonograms 530 Spiritual Seeds Planted 1314 Decision to follow Christ 26 Attending Earn While You Learn Classes 1383 If you’d like more information on ways you can be a part of this Concho Valley ministry please contact them at: 325.944.1515.

56 million babies have been aborted since the tragic Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision made in 1973 which legalized abortion throughout all 9 months of pregnancy. Join thousands of Texans at the Rally for Life as we march to the Capitol and

rally on the south steps to show the meda and elected officials that Texas is PRO-LIFE! FMI: Contact Doug or Suzi Smith now at 325-949-8333.

Welcome New Group Members: We are delighted to welcome Sunny and B Deanda as Adult 2 Connection

Group Members. They minister on a bi-weekly basis in Eldorado. Get to

know them if you haven’t already, they are a wonderful godly couple and

contribute a lot of Biblical and practical knowledge to our group as well as

being a lot of fun!

Thank You!

A special thanks to Charles and Beth Luker

for once again hosting our Adult 2 Connec-

tion Group Christmas Party at their beautifully

decorated home. The food was all delicious

and the fun and fellowship was great! If you

didn’t get to come, be sure to ask the Luker’s

about how “HOT” it was!

Ladies’ Night at Kathy Kellar’s Home

As always, we enjoyed a lot of laughter and good-

humored “fighting” over the gift exchanges at our

annual Ladies Christmas Get-Together at Kathy’s

home. Once again, Kathy went all out in her decora-

tions both indoors and out and we had a great

group of ladies in attendance!

Guess Who?

At our “School Days”

Party in September,

hosted by Cynthia Hickey

in her home, we had a lot

of fun with a Pop Quiz,

Art Class, Lunch, Recess,

and Music Class! If you

missed it, just ask anyone

who attended and they’ll

fill you in on who is the

brainiac, who is the most

artistic, and who can

really fly a paper airplane!

Thanks to all who came,

brought food for the sack

lunches, and most of all

thanks for making it such

a great party with your

participation!

We also asked everyone

to contribute “school pics”

of themselves and we

played a guessing game

trying to match names

with faces. The posters

are now in our Connec-

tion Group Classroom if

you’d like to try matching

them for yourself. Here’s

a couple of samples:

Praises and Prayers Brenda Morris is finally healthy again and she and Mike were able to enjoy a belated Christmas with kids and grandkids in Corpus. Please continue to pray that their daughter, Mary, in Austin, will find a job, and that son, Louis, and granddaughter, Rachel, will relo-cate when and where God wants them. Praise the Lord for our faithful pastor and church leadership. Pray for growth in our Connection Group and throughout our church, especially young families. Thank the Lord for the good report that Kathy Kellar received from her doctor. Pray for continued good health for her and also that Bob will have the continued mental and emotional strength to do needed physical therapy as he continues in his stroke recovery. Also for a ministry he can participate in. We’re thankful for the Deanda’s joining our Connection Group and also for Scott Riley visiting us. Praise Him for the 37 warm throws we were able to share with Meadow Creek residents and for Patty Patmon and her ministry with them. We’re thankful also to have been able to share a large box of nonperishable food with one of our own Heights families. How wonderful it was for all of us to be able to spend time with family and loved ones during the holidays. We thank the Lord for safe travel for all those in our group. Please pray for Pat & Peyton McCone in the sudden loss of her brother, Mike Murphree, on Dec. 30, 2013. Pray also for Mike’s wife and children during these difficult days and weeks. We’re thankful that Peyton’s insurance approved his new treatment and ask the Lord for complete healing for him. Pray for other family members and friends of our Connection Group that have spiritual, financial, or physical needs.

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses[e] to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent pray-er of a righteous man avails much. James 5:13-16 (NKJV)
