Definition A measure of economic growth from one period to another period expressed in a percentage and adjusted for inflation.

OR

A measure of economic growth from one period to another period in percentage terms. This measure does not adjust for inflation, it is expressed in nominal terms. 

Measurement of Economic growth Rate

In practice, it is a measure of the rate of change that a nation's gross domestic product goes through from one year to another. Gross national product can also be used if a nation's economy is heavily dependent on foreign earnings.

Types of poverty

Absolute Poverty:

when people cannot obtain adequate resources to support a minimum level of physical health. Relative Poverty:

when people do not enjoy a certain minimum level of living standards as determined by a Government that vary from country to country, sometimes within the same country.

Poverty in Pakistan

Pakistan is an agriculture country blessed with four seasons with the land enriched with natural resources; the land of Baluchistan is full of minerals and resources. Poverty in Pakistan-40% people living below poverty line. Poverty the cost of petrol is increasing day by day which affects the rate of other prices as well. In 21st century Pakistan faces serious issue which lead in increasing of Poverty level, issue of 9/11, then Earth quake in 2005 effect million of people, two continuous floods in the year of 2010 and 2011 contribute a lot in increasing poverty in Pakistan.

Baluchistan which is considered as the land of mineral is facing a serious issue of poverty, 52 % of total population in Baluchistan living below the poverty line, 33 % of Sindh population are living below the poverty line followed by KPK having 32 % ratio. Punjab which is considered as the urban area also having 19 % population which are living below the poverty line

Population Density can be measured by

Population Density=Total Population/Total Area

For Example;

According to 1998 census total population is 132352279 and total area is 796096 Than

Population Density= 132352279 / 796096

that is 166.3 per square km

Current Scenario:

According to 2014 census total population is 132352279 and total area is 796096 Than

Population Density= 188646439 / 796096

that is 236.96 per square km
