“Our mission is two-fold: First and foremost, to be forward deployed Warriors for our Nation; and when required, we will provide superior airpower where it matters, when it matters to achieve our Nation’s objectives. Secondly, to represent the United States of America as forward deployed Ambassadors of liberty.” The ability to accomplish our mission depends on how we take care of ourselves, our shipmates, and the assets entrusted to us. We will work together to achieve the highest standards of professionalism – a positive safety climate will be the result. The Foundation Communication – The Safety Department is responsible for facilitating safety throughout the command and advising me on all safety matters. However, EVERY CHIPPY is a part of the safety process and is responsible for identifying and reporting safety issues without fear of reprisal. Whether you use your chain of command or the ANYMOUSE program, there is absolutely no reason for a safety issue to remain unreported. Honestly identifying the issues and taking action will save lives and keep us from repeating mistakes. The Pillars of Excellence Integrity – Through sound Quality Assurance, EACH CHIPPY shall ensure that our aircraft maintenance meets the highest standards. Take CHIPPY PRIDE in your work, your technical expertise and the quality of each aircraft. I expect no one to waver when adhering to these superior maintenance practices. Any action, no matter how small, can determine the success or failure of the DAMBUSTERS. Trust and Teamwork – Our chosen profession is hazardous and unforgiving. It demands tireless attention-to-detail and the very best from each of us day in and day out. The Enlisted Safety Council is my direct link to each workcenter, but our success depends on ALL CHIPPIES becoming involved in the safety climate of this squadron. EVERY CHIPPY is a priceless member of our team, and we must all work together to identify the hazards that will prevent us from safely accomplishing our The Cornerstone binding it Together Leadership – EVERY CHIPPY is a leader.
