Introductions. New member: Rich Berman is the new representative from SF Port, taking over for Wendy Proctor. Many thanks to Wendy for her 6 years of service on the Task Force. 2. Minutes: The meeting minutes from February 10, 2016 were adopted as written. 3. Announcements: • Fire Station #36 has achieved LEED v3 IDC Gold certification. SF municipal LEED certified projects total 5.8 million square feet. • LEED v3 Energy Update: Projects registering for LEED v3 on or after April 8, 2016 will be subject to new minimum energy efficiency threshold: For new construction, this amounts to an 8% efficiency increase above the previous 10% requirement beyond ASHRAE 90.1-2007. • NYC-owned buildings are now required to achieve LEED v4 Gold certification and 50% energy use reduction compared to ASHRAE 90.1-2013 for new construction and major alteration projects. • Water Conservation Showcase, March 22, Pacific Energy Center, 851 Howard St. http://www.usgbc-ncc.org/water2016 4. Waiver Requests: The Waiver Request for Balboa Park Recreation Center has been postponed pending further analysis of LEED prerequisite EAp2 Minimum Energy Performance.
