A Primary Election will be held on May 4, 2010 in Un-ion County, North Carolina. Voters will be voting on Federal, State, County and Judicial seats. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Democrats must vote a democrat ballot, Re-publicans must vote a re-publican ballot, Libertarian must vote a libertarian bal-lot and Unaffiliated voters may choose Democrat, Re-publican or Libertarian. If a Second Primary is needed unaffiliated voters must vote the same Party as in the First Primary Election.Absentee ballots are al-lowed. Requests for an ab-sentee ballot must be made in writing and re-ceived in the Union County Board of Elections office by 5:00 p.m. on April 27, 2010. Absentee mail in vot-ing begins on March 15, 2010 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on May 3, 2010.
