Monomer Engineering has confirmed that:1. An offer on Erf 4383 has been lodged with the Estate Agent by Monomer, and is of sufficient size for their

proposed project.2. Erf’s 4384 and 4385 are not available to Monomer due to the purchase of these sites by yourselves. The agent

apologised for not notifying Monomer of your offer as her office misplaced Monomer’s letter of offer.

As a result, please note that, as the new owners of the adjacent erfs, Rham Equipment will now be a registered I&AP onthe EIA process and you will receive all future correspondence regarding the EIA process and you will be kept informedof any documents that become available for public comment.

In the meantime, please feel free to send us your initial comments regarding the proposed Monomer XTL demo facility.

I have read through specific parts relating to possible air quality form issues form the draft scoping report and agreethat it does not require an atmospheric emission license due to the power generation out put and the quantities to beused.

The aspect of ambient noise sources have not been mentioned and it is requested that the possible impact fromexternal noise sources from the plant or the process that may cause a disturbing noise or might have an impact on thenoise district levels be investigated.

Please see attached aerial image for reference. Kaleo Consulting obtained email addresses for some of the businessesalong the red lines before we started the EIA process. When the BID was prepared, it was emailed to the emailaddresses obtained. In addition, for those businesses for which we did not get email addresses, it was dropped off byhand. Drop off’s were also done in Tembisa in the red circle areas.

If businesses did not respond to the BID to register as IAPs, they were not added to the registered IAP list for theproject. I trust this provides sufficient feedback as to how the initial call for comments was done.

Dr Lourens, if possible, please send us the contact details for the businesses you mentioned: ABI, Adcock Ingram andSpar. I have the number you provided for Consol.
