About pandemic H1N1
The Pandemic Influenza
is widespread all over Europe,
Russia and Ukraine.
… all over the World??
Swine flu vaccination rate
• In Denmark: 15-20 % of the sow herds
• In Europe:
–Big variability: few herds in some countries/ areas; up to 65% in the Netherlands
• By our own clients: Approx. 80 % of the sow herds
Why vaccinating in so many herds in
our practice?
• Agent is present
• Clinical symptoms are present
• A production loss is present
• Cost benefit is really positive
ENDEMIC INFLUENZA
• Widespread
• Vaccination during approx. 10
years
