BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Page 3aaa EHRA: June 2009

Just who are those people sitting at the Registration Table for meetings?  It’s Jason Braun, Treasurer, and Ingrid Lindy, Assistant Treasurer.  And sitting at that table is only one of their ‘jobs’ within EHRA!  The Treasurer/Assistant Treasurer:

• receive and record all monies for EHRA • disburse funds upon approval of the President • report financial standing of EHRA on a monthly basis to the Board of Directors

To keep EHRA a fiscally sound association, we recently have implemented some changes:  (Some of them are also Green!!)

• Implemented the use of financial software to better track EHRA monies. • Emailed certificates of attendance for various EHRA Meetings.  This reduces the amount of paper printed and not used.  Only those who need to print the certificate will print it! • Eliminated the printing of paper brochures for Spring Seminar.  This was a major sav‐ings due to the expense of designing, printing and mailing the brochure for the approxi‐mately 300 EHRA members. • Implemented the use of on‐line payments for EHRA events.  This saves the time, pa‐per and postage necessary to create invoices and track payments.

There are also things you, as members, can do to help us do our jobs more efficiently, including:

• Utilize the on‐line payment method for meetings and dues • If you do use this option, and use someone else’s credit card to pay your fees, let us know!  It helps keep our records straight!

When you pay using an invoice, please include a copy of that invoice with your payment and make sure the invoice mentions who the payment is for.

If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact Jason Braun at [email protected] or Ingrid Lindy at [email protected]

Jennifer Cruz has been a member of the EHRA since 2002.  In her time on the board she has held the positions of Diversity Chairperson, Communi‐cations Chairperson, Director of Professional De‐velopment, President‐Elect, President and most recently, Past‐President.  In her time on the board, her most important contribution has either been the Diversity Conference in 2003 or the Spring Seminar in 2006.  Jennifer currently serves as a Hu‐man Resource manager at American General Finance.  While not working or performing her EHRA duties she enjoys raising her Ducorp’s Cockatoo [for the last 12 years] named Angel with her husband.  Angel’s vocabulary includes about 50 words and phases; her most recent addition is "How are you?"
