Families that would like a hard copy of the handbook should contact Nancy in the main office.  Beth Miller is hard at work creating a Blog for parents and faculty to share their summer reading thoughts. The Blessing of a Skinned Knee by Wendy Mogel seems to be the popular choice. The new format should help parents of multiple children attend several orientations. We are going to try something new this year in the middle school. We are going to get the students oriented to school during the first week and then ask middle school parents to come back on the evening of Wednesday, September 7th for a parent orientation. We have found that in the past many questions concernin g the middle school come up after the first week students are in school. We thought having the middle school orientati on after the first week would allow our middle school students time to convey information home fir st, and then teachers could follow-up with an evening orientation with parents to talk about the class room specifics and answer any questions. An orientation for sports will be included during this orient ation time. We are looking forward to th e coming school year. August 25 th   5:00 pm - Kindergarten Parent classroom orientation held prior to the New Parent Dinner. Carol RobesThe Williams School provides allstudents who opt to participate in the

Carol Service in December with a carol robe and hood.The day of the Carol Service the robes and hoods aredistributed to each homeroom class. Students will dressin their classroom before processing to Christ and St.Lukes. Prior arrangements are made for any studentswho are playing music and need their robes ahead of time. After the service we ask that students drop theirrobes and hoods into designated bins in each classroom.If a parent wishes to be responsible for providing

their child’s robe and hood outside of the school

Benjack’s Fall Farm Party – October 22, 2011

Come join the Benjacks at their farm in Franklin for aPig Pick’n on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Enjoy foodfrom Q-Daddy’s and music from our own Prometheanband from 12:00 – 4:00! Feel free to bring a tent andspend the night. Kids will have a ball running aroundwith opportunities to pet sheep and chickens. See cowsgrazing and even go fishing if you bring a pole. Thereare trails in the woods to travel and even a zip line. Takea hayride out to the pumpkin patch where we hope toprovide a pumpkin for every family. If the weatherdoesn’t cooperate, we will have it the followingweekend on October 29th. BYOB. This party wasoffered as a sign-up event at our February 2011 Auction,open to the first 75 families at the cost of $150 perfamily.
