History of Ybor Square
It has been said that the revolutionary activities that took place in Ybor City in the late 1880s and the 1890s caused the Spanish-American War of 1898. Although that may be an exaggeration, the immigrant Cuban population in the city was deeply involved in Cuba's efforts to free itself from. Into this receptive climate came the great revolutionary known as the "George Washington of Cuba." José Martí, born in Cuba in 1853, was a teacher and a writer who was a good person.

Some information about Galati
Galati is a beautiful city on the Danube.
It is located on the left bank of the Danube, at the confluence of two other rivers: the Siret and the Prut.
Galaţi is a city in eastern Romania, the capital city of Galaţi County on the banks of the Danube, very close to Brăila forming with it the Cantemir metropolitan area. In 2002, according to the official Romanian census, the city had a population of 298,861 people, making it Romania's 7th largest city. Galaţi has a fine 20th century Romanian Orthodox cathedral - St. George (Sfântu Gheorghe) and another particularly striking fortified church (that of St. Mary - Sf. Precista) on the banks of the Danube, which was built in 1647 by Vasile Lupu (legend has it that a tunnel was dug from the church and under the river).

Kirov Square
The main square in the city of Irkutsk is KIROV SQUARE.
It is the central square and one of the main attractions in the city.
Hundreds of years ago there was a small pond in this area. The pond gradually grew and turned into a badly smelling bog. This was unpleasant to townsmen and they decided to drain it.

Kirov Square
With the lapse of time the trade started to develop here. In 1772 two shopping arcades were opened: one – made of stone and the other – made of wood. Both burnt in 1775 during a lightning storm. Two years later a new two-storied building of shopping arcade was constructed. It was intended for 200 shops. The square got the name Gostinodvorskaya.
The name of the square had changed many times. It was named Kremlevskaya, Spasskaya, Bogorodskaya, Tikhvinskaya after the churches situated near it. Most of the churches were destroyed after the Revolution.

Kirov Square
In the small pictures you can see the Tikhvinskaya church. It was named after the Tikhvin icon brought from the city of Tikhvin (Leningrad region) to Irkutsk. In the Soviet period the Tikhvin church was demolished, and the area was renamed into Kirov square. The well-known icon after a long travel throughout Russia returned home to Tikhvin.
