Physics Department• Founded in 1978

• 25 full time professors, 23 with PhD, 2 with MSc.

Our physics students:

• 255 undergraduate students have already graduated from our department:- 69 have obtained PhD degrees from other universities

- 64 are working towards their PhDs in other universities - 40 are full time university professors - 79 have obtained MSc degrees - 22 are pursuing MsC degrees

• 60 students have obtained their MSc degree from our department. 20 of them working in the High Energy Physics group.

• 3 students have obtained a PhD degree from our department. 1 in Experimental High Energy Physics.

History of the HEP group

1. 1988-1992 collaboration with E710 experiment at Fermilab.

2. 1991 started collaboration with D0 experiment Fermilab: - B physics group, - QCD group

3. 1993 started collaboration with E811 experiment at Fermilab.

4. Jefferson Lab Collaboration: Photo fission of heavy nuclei, Vector meson photoproduction

5. Started collaboration in CMS in March 2006. Participating in CMS RPC group.
