Dr. Surraiya Rasheed is a Professor of Pathology, Laboratory of Viral

Oncology and AIDS Research, University of Southern California, USA.

Her fields of specialization are: Cancer, AIDS and Viruses.

Dr. Surraiya Rasheed carried out various activities for the development of

the hospital and conducted 12 workshops and seminars on various topics

in which 50-60 doctors and scientists from 6 medical institutions

participated. She initiated research in the fields of cancer and Hepatitis-B.

Dr. Abdul Shakoor conducted National Training Course on Evaluation of Rock as Construction Material”, Attended by 95 professionals from 30 organizations including Road Research Laboratory, Building Research Laboratory, NESPAK, PCSIR, Atomic Energy (Mineral Centre), Geological Survey of Pakistan, SIEMEN (a Multinational Company), Central Materials Testing Lab (CMTL), students and faculty members of the Institute of Geology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. This course was unique in its nature and highly appreciated by the participants and was considered very beneficial for participants.

DR. ANWAR NASIM Dr. Anwar Nasim, an Internationally known Geneticist, has played a significant

role in introducing Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering in Pakistan. On his

recommendations, National Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic

Engineering, Faisalabad was established, which is today recognized as the

leading national research institute in this area and is the national focal point

for international centre for genetics engineering and biotechnology.
