Free Kicks

• R same as 5

• Linesman and Line Judge are deep

• BJ has ball and 25 second count, and goes downfield officiating inside out

• U and FJ have R’s restraining line

Short Free Kicks

• Linesman and his partner, FJ, move up, so that Linesman has R and FJ has K

• So we have 4 up: FJ and BJ have K’s restraining line, Linesman and Umpire have R’s

• R and LJ are deep

Scrimmage Downs

• Basic concept is that FJ and BJ have priority for keys

• Their keys are the widest receivers, whether they are on the line of scrimmage or not

• L and LJ then take the second and/third receivers

• Concept is that FJ and BJ have goal line and are able to be with runner/receiver at the goal line

• L and LJ have most of the spots—pushing the FJ/BJ down the field.

14

Motion

• Sometimes motion can mean a switch in keys

• If the motion man is the widest player initially, and then goes in motion, we would switch keys as soon as he is no longer the widest receiver

Scrimmage Kicks

• R is on the foot of the kicker• Suggestion: Linesman/Line Judge switch

who chases and who stays as determined by the position of the Referee

• FJ and BJ have the receiver• Suggestion: BJ have PSK• In this situation, we have reverse

mechanics: BJ/FJ have most of the spots, L and LJ have the goal line
