• I don’t believe in settling so I’ve decided to pursue a degree in Psychology

FIVE YEAR PLAN

Just about every time I have ever sat down and made a five or ten year plan I’ve learned, within a year or so, that nothing goes according to plan. However, it is still wise to set goals for yourself and at least set out on the path to accomplish them. There will always be bumps in the road but if the end justifies the means then I suppose nothing is without reason. So, in five years I hope to…

• Have a home in Arizona with my husband and our child.

• Have began a career in art therapy

• Be continuing to work on my masters degree at ASU

IF I WON THE LOTTERY

• I would set up a college fund for my baby

• Buy a decent sized house for my family

• Purchase a rental property in a nice location

• Buy a new car

• Invest a good amount in various small dividend stocks

• Continue to pursue my education as well as a career in art therapy

THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS I’VE LEARNED IN SCHOOL ARE…

• In Kindergarten through 12th grade:

• Organization is imperative for my personal success

• It is easy to lose focus on your surroundings

• Some things I must learn without my parents’ help

• In college:

• Basically nothing I learned in K-12 is applicable to real life

• How to manage my money and time effectively

• Independent learning is essential for personal growth

IF I HAD TO LIVE MY LIFE OVER AGAIN…

Perhaps it’s a bit cliché to say this but I wouldn’t change a single thing if I had the opportunity. Everything I have been through in my life has led me up to this point and shaped me into the person I am today. I would not be able to appreciate my life as much as I do now were it not for many of the mistakes I made. As much as I regretted some of my actions for a long time, I finally let go and accepted that I cannot change them. Instead, I am grateful for the many hardships I have weathered. I am stronger because of them and I also know that no matter what life throws at me, odds are I will come out of it better than before so long as I hold on and try my best.
