1) Sensitivity is extremely rare.

2) No allergic side effects.

3) Evidence of test on natural colour and flavours

conclude that there were no reports of adverse reactions. (Role of natural color additives in food allergy, Lucas CD, Hallagan JB, Taylor SL. Adverse Food Nutrition Res. 2001;43: 195-216

Natural colours and flavours are superior to Artificial Colours and flavours because artificial colours are associated with:

1. Hyperactivity in Children.2. Mutagenic actions (as evident from clinical trials).3. Allergic symptoms like Skin rashes, Urticaria, diarrhoea, CNS toxicity, etc.4. Deficiency of essential micro-nutrients

required for normal development of Child.

Conclusion:

Artificial colours and flavours should be avoided in the formulations because of their side effects.

As such Paediatric preparations must be completely devoid of any chemical that threatens to cause allergic reactions. Drug industry should stop using these additives to offer the society better & safer preparations for human health.
