Docklands Development Up-date(Simon Wilson – Places Victoria)

Garden Shelter(CoM lead)

•Located within the Community Garden site

•Design will incorporate plants to grow on the structure

•Installation expected early 2013

Outdoor Multi-Purpose Courts(CoM Lead)

• Construction commenced

• Basketball, netball and futsal (small court soccer)

• Courts expected to be completed late January 2013

Wayfinding Signage(CoM Lead)

Docklands is being integrated & aligned with existing City of Melbourne signage:

o Updating of City of Melbourne signage manual

o New & replacement signs will continue to be installed over the next 12 months

Currently underway:

•New signs on Harbour Esplanade and Tenancy Signs in NewQuay

•Replacement of old Docklands signage with new signs on NewQuay Promenade

Place of Worship(PV Lead)

• Bid process underway with short-listed Proposals due 14 December 2012

Harbour Esplanade Redevelopment(PV Lead)

• Rectification/Civil Infrastructure Works

- Repair of the old wharf sections along Harbour Esplanade

- CoM and PV are currently preparing an application to Heritage Victoria for these works

• CoM and Places Victoria are continuing to establish a framework for future development

Pedestrian Routes

• McCrae Street to be completed December (PV & Kangan)• Southern entry under design (CoM & PV)

Spaces for Community and Creative Enterprises(Joint Project: PV, CoM, MAB)

• Docklands Spaces launched
