GOING BEYONDW A L L S

F I R S T D A L L A S P R I S O N M I N I S T R Y

God is moving in a mighty way through the First Dallas Prison Ministry. In 2016, 25 new volunteers havebeen trained and the team is now closer to 40 strong. Team members minister in various roles includingvisitation, teaching, grading papers, praying, and more.

This year, our team has increased multiple weekly visits to the Gatesville Women's Correctional Facility, including the Crain Unit, where intensive discipleship and mentoring have been done. Recently an inmatetrained by our team led 17 other inmates to Christ. The Dallas County Men’s Team has visited closeto 90 inmates, 22 of whom have made professions of faith in Christ.

To close out an amazing year, our team is organizing a church-wide Angel Tree Initiative to help provideChristmas gifts for children with incarcerated parents. Not only will our church be donating gifts, but thePrison Ministry Team will also be coordinating efforts to have the gifts delivered to each family.

Thank you for your prayers and faithful support to Mission 1:8 and now Fuel The Fire. In 2017, we willcontinue to see the First Dallas Prison Ministry have more and more influence behind and beyond prison walls.Merry Christmas!
