Mammouth the kitten may be as light as feather, but he takes up a lot of space. Each family member, creature or animal around him speaks about the little cat in their own way. For some he is scary (the turtledove), for others adorable (the daddy), some he makes sad (the dog), others he annoys (the little sister)…Then one day, Mammouth disappears. What happened? What did that awful neighbour who hates him do? Or the butcher, who makes meat pâté? Mammouth? MAMMOUUUUTH!

Today, Mama Bear and Papa Bear are setting up the den for hibernation. Pompon has to look after his brother, it’s a big responsibility. But he has an idea to keep his brother busy: throwing a Winter party! Glasses, pretty cloth and a bit of white painting should be ideal. But it’s not that easy with a Teeny Tiny Bear around. In a huge Splosh, Booing, Swish the whole surprise flies away with a white splash. Pompon runs after his brother through the forest. Where is he?! At last, Pompon sees a small fluffy tail behind a tree. But it’s not his brother’s tail. It’s white and there are plenty of other white fluffy tails around! Pompon discovers a whole bunch of polar bears sat on big ice bank bits. They look exhausted. But not his brother who is there, eating some honey he found! When he refuses to come back home with Pompon, that’s it. “I’m off! says Pompon. Take care for yourself!”. Following the white painted footprints his brother left in the forest, Pompon goes home. But not alone! A white file follows him, headed by a Teeny Tiny brown Bear. Back to the clearing, a desperate Pompon finds the wrecked white party. But he’s not alone! With the help of his polar friends and Teeny Tiny Bear, Pompon throws up the most beautiful Winter Party ever and builds a nice not melting shed for the white bears.

When Mama Bear and Papa Bear arrive, Pompon and his new friends are ready to paint the forest white!

“Would you like some honey ice cream?”

When he opens the door, he discovers two hens come to take him to… his own trial. The boy is quite simply accused of having eaten, since his earliest childhood, an incalculable number of sausages, hamburgers, chicken wings…And who attends the trial? Hens, adorable chicks, goats, a very large cow and many others. Will any of the animals take pity on Paul Belin? An absurd tale about vegetarianism and its place in today’s society, the guilt that some meat eaters feel and the complicated relationship between humans and animals. Mole & FieldmouseThe Earthworm Pie vol. 2

The Golden Days vol. 1

Autumnal adventures full of humour about a field mouse and a very short-sighted mole, deliciously illustrated by Benjamin Chaud

“Hot food, coming through!” cries Mole as he grabs the dishes. “Your pie on the blue plate, mine on the pink, as agreed. But hush! The jury must remain completely impartial. Good luck, Field Mouse!”

Mole and Field Mouse are back! Autumn is here, with its dance of dead leaves. And although Mole is cross with his fiancée for, in his words, taking a shine to a coat hanger, the two friends are not disheartened. Between acts of kindness, cooking competitions, lively violin melodies, they delight the reader once more with their imagination. There’s no time for boredom with these two bold, inseparable friends, who turn every instant of everyday life into a moment of great joy!Speaking of which… Anyone want to dance a foxtrot? After the flowery spring and blue skies of Beaux jours, Benjamin Chaud opts for a rich palette of brown and ochre tones, carrying the reader into a chilly autumnal setting. A (pre)early reading book to enjoy curled up in front of the fireplace or in bed!

Strong points• A bucolic and sweet early reading story, with friendship as its main theme.

• A field mouse and a mole reminiscent of classic tales such as Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows, or Arnold Lobel’s Owl at Home.

• Three stand-alone stories that set a reading rhythm.

Henri Meunier is a renowned author and illustrator who was born in Belgium and now lives in the

south of France. He has published many children’s books as an author and illustrator. He also writes

comic books.

I wanted to invert the picture book concept, by not showing things to set them, but to watch them evolve or disappear. So, I thought about a visual story with see-through sheets, that touches upon a child’s everyday life. For me, the see-through paper, with its slightly opaque transparency, reflects the evanescence of everything that surrounds us and that slips through our fingers.Beatrice Alemagna

With a great deal of graphic creativity, soft yet funny and always intriguing illustrations, Beatrice Alemagna evokes the different moments of life that all children are faced when growing up; some painless, or almost, like teeth falling out or a little scrape, and others deeper, such as sadness…A see-through sheet is lifted on each page, transforming the image. But beneath each of these short-lived moments, lies something unchanging, strong and lasting; the love of a parent for their child.

Beatrice Alemagna is an Italian illustrator and author. She was born in Bologna, Italy in

1973. She studied at the Graphic School in Urbino (ISIA), and in 1997 moved to Paris, where

she currently lives. Her work has received multiple awards, and her books have been

recommended by The New York Times and the New York Public Library. She is the recipient

of the 2010 Andersen Prize for Illustrator of the year and was nominated to the Astrid

Lindgren Memorial Award four times (in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017).

After 10 years, with you by our side, much to our delight,

we are still driven by the same desire…

To publish books where the child takes charge, happy to explore the story

through the pictures before even knowing how to read, observing every detail

in the illustrations and forging their own path through the book. This is our

little reader, who truly delights in discovering what the adult has not yet seen!

To imagine object-books in the right form, consistent with each author’s

project, with no excessive manufacturing. For the littlest ones, this revolves

around the design, as set out by Bruno Munari. An easy to handle format,

an added material, a particular binding… Everything contributes to creating

a special bond between the child and the book.

To offer artist books to everyone! Each author in our catalogue is unique, with

a wide variety of styles. Each book is an artistic proposition for all readers,

whether experienced or novices, children or adults.

To establish a dialogue between the child and the adult: during this quiet

time when pages are turned, feelings and emotions become more palpable

and can be voiced. Sometimes, long after reading, the images resonate

and the words forever remain folded within a pocket of childhood.

To invest in the intelligence of children, thus placing us within the history

of children’s literature, that traces back to the hopes of progressive education

and the Père Castor series, that opens a child’s eyes to the beauty that lies

within nature, art, architecture and literature… through curiosity and play.

To not avoid the questions raised by our complex world, such as the dangers

that threaten our planet, or injustice, but to always do so with optimism

and humour, so that readers can imagine their role in the future.

To share the adventure of life through fiction, with strong voices that arouse

solidarity, empathy and that spur the reader towards others.

To explore a thousand ways of telling a story: from interactive books to

novels, a children’s book is a little theatre with an ever-changing setting,

an invitation to embark upon a journey, sometimes to unexplored lands,

where the imagination spreads its wings and sweeps the reader away.
