POLYURETHANE ADVANTAGES
Compared to traditional building products such as wood and
stone, polyurethane products have some distinct advantages. Stone
for instance is very expensive and is very time consuming to install.
Cultured stone is a heavy concrete composite designed to look like
real stone. However, concrete absorbs moisture and on the exterior
this trapped moisture can darken the stone and even produce mold
growth. Like real stone, installation is a slow and tedious process.
Unlike real or cultured stone, polyurethane stone panels are light
weight, will not absorb water, will not discolour and installs quickly.
There is no mortar or grout to make a mess.
When we look at natural characteristics of wood, especially
outside, wood is prone to twist, crack and fade due to UV exposure
and rot from moisture. Real rustic barn wood that is being used for
designer walls is usually very dry and does not acclimatize well.
Also has the potential to off-gas harmful creosote chemicals that
were used to treat it while it was a barn. Polyurethane wood panels
are dimensionally stable and will not rot, twist or crack. Our rustic
wood panels are moulded from the real wood, thus achieving the
exact look of the barn wood without the harmful chemicals off
gassing. Polyurethane stone and wood products are great for all kinds of applications. In residential you can create an
interior accent wall or change the exterior curb appeal of your house in a matter of hours. In retail, the product can
be applied behind open display shelving to help create a finished look, but if you need to move the display or
change the look for a new product, its fast and simple. In a commercial office space one might want some heavy
looking timbers or stone walls but the building is not designed to carry such loads. With polyurethane the weight
issues are no longer an issue. The architectural details can be met with any non-load bearing applications. In the
hospitality industry it is always important to update the design and change the ambiance. By using polyurethane
panels, one can remove an old look and replace with a completely new look over night without having to close the
restaurant, hotel, or establishment beyond operating hours. Commercial shopping centers can update the facades
of their buildings, condos can increase their curb appeal, and both can be done quickly without interrupting the
tenants for extended periods. Manufactured homes can skirt the houses with “rock” and transport it to site already
installed. Beams and other rock details can be easily added as an upgrade and it will not affect the weight of the
manufactured home to be transported.

design of a product consistently meets rigorous high quality standards.
With the use of ASTM one can easily compare the advantages of one
product over similar products. Our Manufacturer has worked with both
ASTM and QAI Labs to put our products through these rigorous tests and
have passed them all with exceptional results. This is only part of what sets our product above the rest.
ASTM tests are designed to put products through all the criteria required by the various Provincial and Federal
building codes to ensure they meet precise safety and engineering standards. Class A Fire Rating is but one of many very important certifications.
Consumers need to know how the products they use will perform over time. How will the product hold up in extreme
weather conditions? Will the colour fade quickly? Will the product warp and curl or crack when frozen and thawed each winter and spring? Is the product suitable for your climate? These are all important considerations when
purchasing products for your building projects.

space. In the winter, this heat flow moves directly from all heated living spaces to adjacent unheated attics, garages, basements,
and even to the outdoors. Heat flow can also move indirectly through interior ceilings, walls, and floors —wherever there is a
difference in temperature. During the summer season, heat flows from the outdoors to the interior of a house. To maintain
comfort, the heat lost in the winter must be replaced by your heating system and the heat gained in the summer must be removed
by your cooling system. Properly adding Nujera Industries polyurethane panels, helps insulate your home which will decrease this
heat flow by providing an effective R-value. An R-value indicates the insulation resistance to heat flow, the higher the R-value, the
greater the insulating effectiveness. The R-value depends on the type of insulation and includes its material, thickness, and density. When calculating the R-value of a multilayered installation,
add the R-values of the individual layers. Installing more insulation in your home increases the R-value and the resistance to heat
flow. Nujera Industries can add visual appeal to any structure while helping to increase its R-value, in effect preventing thermal
drift. In addition, testing suggests that the stabilized R-value of rigid polyurethane remains unchanged after 10 years. ■
