In the 66 airports managed by Infraero operate 97% ofthe movement of air transportation in Brazil. Equivalentto 2.6 million aircraft takeoffs and landings per year.
It was estimated the movement of 186 millionpassengers in 2011 at 19.8% increase compared to2010.

The demand for air travel in the domestic market hasincrease significantly since 2009.
The increase of the domestic market reached 21.17%from January to July 2011. The increase of internationalflights operated by brazilian companies was 17.46%.

The brazilian legislation that regulates the proceduresfor monitoring friction on runways was updated in 2009,increasing the friction measurement tests, of 268 to 529per year (increase of 97.4%).

CHANGES – LEGISLATION
One equipment with high performance technology forrubber removal was purchased in 2007 forevaluation. The solution was accepted.
In 2009/11, more 11 runway rubber removalequipment were purchased.

Infraero has an internal program to develop solutions,called “Projeto Ideia em Acão”, which led to the designthe pilot project aimed at customizing a vehicle fortraction and transport of a Skiddometer BV-11.
This pilot project was used for the specification of 18friction measuring equipment (cfme) being acquired.
