An amazing bargain – with outcomes beyond price
Stories, songs and rhymes are a cultural entitlement for all children to enjoy
A child who shares books every day and lives in a language-rich home, develops
language and literacy skills, as well as benefiting socially and emotionally
We help fathers, mothers and carers see themselves as the child’s most
important and enduring teachers and help them to enjoy and value reading in
the home
Children who enjoy books become well rounded individuals, articulate confident
and eager learners and these benefits can last a lifetime

‘Books are a mirror to your life, and a window on the world.’
‘ Sharing a book with your child is very special; as you talk about
the story, you get to know your child and they get to know you.
This is really precious time and it is not only about learning skills -
stories teach us the very nature of being human.’
