[57] Abstract:

A copper foil for a printed wiring board, the copper foil being characterized by having, on at least on surface thereof, a roughened layer of the copper foil in which: at a distance accounting for 10% of the length of a particle from the root, the average diameter is 0.2 to 1.0 µm; and the ratio of the length (L1) of the particles to the average diameter (D1) at the root of the particles is 15 or less when L1/D1. A copper foil for a printed wiring board characterized in that, after laminating a resin and a copper foil for a printed wiring board having a roughened layer, the sum of the area covered by holes is 20% or more on the uneven and roughened surface of the resin located on the surface of the resin in which a copper layer is removed by etching. The purpose of the present invention is to develop a copper foil for a semiconductor package substrate, wherein a circuit erosion phenomenon is avoided without deteriorating other properties of the copper foil. Particularly, the present invention addresses the problem of providing: a copper foil for a printed wiring board in which it is possible to ameliorate the roughened layer of the copper foil and to improve the adhesion strength between the copper foil and the resin; and a method for producing said copper foil.

[57] Abstract:

The present invention provides a small hydroprower generating apparatus and a method of controlling the apparatus. The apparatus includes a water tank (10), a waterwheel (20), a transfer pipe (30), an inlet valve (40), a hydraulic drive unit (50), a control unit (70), a generator (60) and an electromagnetic switch. The waterwheel is disposed below the water tank and includes a hub, and blades which are provided around the hub so as to be changeable in a pitch angle. The transfer pipe connects the water tank to the waterwheel. The inlet valve opens or closes a flow passage of the transfer pipe. The hydraulic drive unit controls the inlet valve and the pitch angle of the blades. The generator is connected to the waterwheel. The electromagnetic switch is turned on when the RPM of the waterwheel reaches a rated speed, thus connecting the generator to an electric power system.

The invention provides a syringe for use in an ophthalmic injection. The syringe comprises a body, a stopper and a plunger. The body comprises an outlet at an outlet end and the stopper is arranged within the body such that a front surface of the stopper and the body define a variable volume chamber from which a fluid can be expelled though the outlet. The plunger comprises a plunger contact surface at a first end and a rod extends between the plunger contact surface and a rear portion. The plunger contact surface is arranged to contact the stopper but not couple thereto, such that the plunger can be used to force the stopper towards the outlet end of the body, reducing the volume of the variable volume chamber, but not to move the stopper away from the outlet end.

[57] Abstract:

Methods of processing municipal solid wastes (MSW) are provided whereby concurrent enzymatic hydrolysis and microbial fermentation of wastes results in liquefaction of biodegradable components as well as accumulation of microbial metabolites. Liquefied biodegradable components are then separated from nondegradable solids to produce a bioliquid characterized in comprising a large percentage of dissolved solids of which a large fraction comprises some combination of acetate, ethanol, butyrate, lactate, formate or propionate. This bioliquid is, itself, a novel biomethane substrate composition, which permits very rapid conversion to biomethane. Methods of biomethane production are further provided using this bioliquid and using other biomethane substrate compositions produced by concurrent enzymatic hydrolysis and microbial fermentation of organic materials.

[57] Abstract:

The invention relates to a method for converting hydrocarbon feeds by thermal steamcracking to at least one olefin-containing product stream comprising at least ethylene and propylene, with at least partial conversion of a first hydrocarbon feed in at least one first cracking furnace (1) and a second hydrocarbon feed in at least a second cracking furnace (2). According to the invention, the second hydrocarbon feedstock is converted in the second cracking furnace (2) with cracking conditions that lead to a ratio of propylene to ethylene of 0.7 to 1.6 kg/kg, and the first hydrocarbon feedstock is converted in the first cracking furnace (1) with cracking conditions that lead to a ratio of propylene to ethylene of 0.25 to 0.85 kg/kg at the cracking furnace outlet, the value for the ratio of propylene to ethylene for the second hydrocarbon feed being above the value for the ratio of propylene to ethylene for the first hydrocarbon feedstock.

[57] Abstract:

This mounting frame (1) comprises a pair of first beams (11) and a pair of second beams (12) that form a frame. The first beams (11) face each other with a window hole (18) in which a switch unit (100) is mounted interposed therebetween, and are affixed to a building material such that the rear surfaces contact the rim of a hole provided in said building material. The second beams (12) face each other with the window hole (18) interposed therebetween in a direction intersecting the direction in which the first beams (11) face each other. The second beams (12) are provided with through-holes (15a, 15b) into which mounting prongs (103) on switch units (100) are inserted. The first beams (11) and the second beams (12) are designed such that, when mounted to the building material, the front surfaces of the second beams (12) in the areas where the through-holes (15) are provided are positioned rearwards of the front surfaces of the first beams (11) in areas on the side corresponding to the surface of the building material.

[57] Abstract:

An end load carton (55) includes a closure system (62) having a tab (150) constituting part of a control region (144) spaced from a free edge (120, 120') of an upper flap (66, 66') by a support region (141; 141'). The control region (144) also includes a press zone adjacent the tab (150). After initially opening a top portion (58) of the carton (55), the upper and lower flaps (66, 69; 66', 69) can be selectively interconnected through the closure system (62) by pushing on the press zone to depress the upper and lower flaps (66, 69; 66', 69) in order to open up a slot (170) formed in the lower flap (69) and align the tab (150) with the slot (170) to reclose the carton (55). To reopen the carton (55), the support region (141; 141') can be readily grasped and pulled to open carton (55) without fear of tearing the upper flap (66).

[57] Abstract:

In a valve device for a fuel injection valve (1), an intersection point (13c) between a vertex of an imaginary cone (13b), which is obtained by extending a seat surface (13) to a downstream side, and a center axis Z of the valve seat (11) is located in an opening (15). In this way, most of the fuel that has flowed along a seat section (13a) is collected at the opening (15), then reaches an upper surface of an injection hole plate (22), and is smoothly shifted to become a flow toward an outer circumferential side. Thus, pressure loss of the fuel during this process is suppressed to be small. Therefore, in the valve device for the fuel injection valve (1), a reduction in a fuel speed in a section (22b) right above an injection hole is suppressed, and atomization of fuel spray is promoted.
