[57] Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a high-purity nickel sulfate with less impurities, especially with less magnesium or less chlorides by regulating the concentration of the extractant and the pH concentration during the processing in a step for obtaining a nickel sulfate solution with high nickel concentration by means of solvent extraction using an acidic organic extractant. A method for producing a high-purity nickel sulfate, which is characterized by processing an acidic solution containing nickel through at least the following steps: a sulfurization step wherein a sulfurizing agent is added into the acidic solution containing nickel, thereby obtaining a sediment of a nickel sulfide and a liquid after sulfurization; a redissolving step wherein a slurry of the nickel sulfide obtained in the sulfurization step is prepared and an oxidant is added into the slurry, thereby obtaining a concentrated solution of nickel; a liquid cleaning step wherein the concentrated solution of nickel obtained in the redissolving step is neutralized by adding a neutralizing agent thereto, thereby obtaining a neutralization sediment and a concentrated solution of nickel after deironization; and a solvent extraction step wherein the concentrated solution of nickel after deironization obtained in the liquid cleaning step is subjected to solvent extraction, thereby obtaining a back extraction liquid and a nickel sulfate solution.

[57] Abstract:

The invention relates to a process for converting hydrocarbon feeds by thermal steamcracking to at least one olefin-containing product stream comprising at least ethylene and propylene, with at least partial conversion of a first hydrocarbon feed in at least one first cracking furnace (1) and of a second hydrocarbon feed in at least one second cracking furnace (2). According to the invention, the second hydrocarbon feed comprises predominantly hydrocarbons having a carbon number of 5 or/and 4 and consists for the most part of one or more recycled fractions (P,T) which are obtained from the product stream, and the second hydrocarbon is converted in the second cracking furnace (2) with cracking conditions that lead to a ratio of propylene to ethylene of 0.7 to 1.6 kg/kg.

[57] Abstract:

Systems and methods are disclosed for estimating one or more channel properties of a downlink from a cellular communications network based on quasi co- located antenna ports with respect to the one or more channel properties. In one embodiment, a wireless device receives a downlink subframe including a downlink control channel from the cellular communications network. The wireless device estimates one or more large-scale channel properties for an antenna port of interest in the downlink control channel based on a subset of reference signals that correspond to antenna ports in the cellular communications network that are quasi co-located with the antenna port of interest with respect to the one or more large-scale channel properties. As a result of using the quasi co-located antenna ports, estimation of the one or more large-scale channel properties is substantially improved.

[57] Abstract:

A heated aerosol-generating article for use with an aerosol-generating device having a heating element comprises a solid aerosol-forming substrate and a breachable air-flow barrier assembled within a wrapper to form a rod. The rod has a mouth end and a distal end upstream from the mouth end. The breachable air-flow barrier is positioned, when intact, to substantially prevent air being drawn through the solid aerosol-forming substrate when a user draws on the mouth end of the rod. This decreases the propensity for ignition of the aerosol-forming substrate.

[57] Abstract:

Techniques are described for palette-based coding. In palette-based coding, a video coder may form a palette as a table of colors for representing video data of a given block. Palette-based coding may be useful for coding blocks of video data having a relatively small number of colors. Rather than coding actual pixel values or their residuals for the given block, the video coder may code index values for one or more of the pixels. The index values map the pixels to entries in the palette representing the colors of the pixels. Techniques are described for determining whether to disable filtering, such as deblocking filtering or sample adaptive offset (SAO) filtering, of palette coded blocks at a video encoder or a video decoder. Techniques are also described for modify a palette size and palette entries of a palette at the video encoder based on rate-distortion costs.

[57] Abstract:

Provided is a disposable diaper that readily deforms to the intended shape of an absorbent body, and that can prevent the absorbent body from losing shape during use. The absorbent body is provided with a left and right pair of fold-inducing bands (8) that extend forward and backward from the crotch area center, the distance in the width direction between the left and right pair of fold-inducing bands being greater at the front edge and the back edge of the fold-inducing bands than in the crotch area center. The front edges and the back edges of the fold-inducing bands are positioned farther to the outside in the width direction than are the widthwise inside positions of joined areas (9) of a leak barrier and a top sheet. The fold-inducing bands include hydrophilic fibers and a highly absorbent polymer, but have lower basis weight and lower highly absorbent polymer content as compared with other regions of the absorbent body. Compression grooves (10) are provided within the fold-inducing bands, the compression grooves having higher density as compared with other regions of the absorbent body.

[57] Abstract:

To provide a solder alloy in which the discoloration thereof is inhibited and a growth of oxide film is inhibited under a high temperature and high humidity environment, a solder ball, a chip solder, a solder paste and a solder joint, is an object. The solder alloy contains 0.005 mass% or more and 0.1 mass% or less of Mn, 0.001 mass% or more and 0.1 mass% or less of Ge, and a balance of Sn. A plurality of Ge oxides is distributed on an outermost surface side of an oxide film including Sn oxide, Mn oxide and Ge oxide by adding 0.005 mass% or more and 0.1 mass% or less of Mn, 0.001 mass% or more and 0.1 mass% or less of Ge to the solder alloy having a principal ingredient of Sn, so that it is possible to obtain the discolor-inhibiting effect even under the high-temperature and high-humidity environment. Mn and O2 are reacted to prevent Sn from reacting with O2, thereby inhibiting a generation of Sn oxide. This prevents an increase in the thickness of oxide film so that a fusion property can be improved.

[57] Abstract:

A video encoding method of adjusting a range of encoded output data to adjust a bit depth during restoring of encoded samples, and a video decoding method of preventing overflow from occuring in output data in operations of a decoding process. The video decoding method includes parsing and restoring quantized transformation coefficients in units of blocks of an image from a received bitstream, restoring transformation coefficients of a first bit depth or less by performing inverse quantization on the quantized transformation coefficients, and restoring samples of a second bit depth or less by performing one-dimensional (1D) inverse transformation and inverse scaling on the quantized transformation coefficients.
