Proprietors of food businesses and their managers, waiters, waitresses and cooks as well as proprietors, managers, helpers, sales representatives, and laborers of non-food establishments are required to secure Health Card.

5) ISSUANCE OF BURIAL / CREMATION / EXHUMATION AND OR TRANSFER & TRANSPORT PERMIT The City Health Office (CHO) facilitates the issuance of Burial / Cremation Permit pursuant to City Ordinance No. 2017-796, otherwise known as the “Antipolo City Public Cemetery Code of 2017.” Likewise, the CHO, pursuant to the provisions of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Chapter XXI of P.D. 856 otherwise known as the Code on Sanitation of the Philippines, Exhumation Permit for the exhumation and reburial of the remains to ensure that public health is not endangered. The City Health Officer also issues Transfer & Transport Permit for cadaver which will be buried outside Antipolo City.

8) ANIMAL BITE TREATMENT

Any individual inflicted with animal bite of a dog, cat, monkey, bat and the like can avail of vaccination at the CHO Animal Bite Treatment Center. Likewise, the client is assessed for post exposure management and treatment, i.e., active or passive vaccination.

The client can avail the Animal Bite Treatment package for himself / herself as patient or for his/her beneficiary covering all doses of vaccination.

9) TUBERCULOSIS DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

The City Government, in partnership with international and national government and non-government agencies and organizations, implements an anti-tuberculosis program for tuberculosis (TB) prevention and treatment of TB patients.

10) GRAM STAINING AND HIV TESTING SERVICES As part of its commitment to detect and treat Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) particularly among the high-risk groups, the City Health Office maintains a Social Hygiene Clinic (SHC) for the treatment of STI patients, conduct of HIV Counseling and Testing, and provision of Health Certificate Card to entertainment workers who passed the STI examination.

CITY HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDED AT BARANGAY LEVEL

1) MATERNAL CARE SERVICES A comprehensive maternal care program for pregnant women and lactating mothers is being implemented by the City Government of Antipolo through the City Health Office in order to achieve low, if not zero, maternal mortality and morbidity rates. Pregnant women are advised to undergo monthly pre-natal checkup, and post-partum care within 7 days after delivery. Also, they are encouraged to give birth in health facilities instead of giving birth at home to lower or zero out maternal death.

2) FREE IMMUNIZATION SERVICES The City Government provides immunization services for infants aged 0 to 15 months at barangay health centers. Anti-tetanus vaccine for pregnant women is also administered for the prevention of occurrence of tetanus neonatorum in infants.

3) NEWBORN SCREENING (NBS) SERVICES A comprehensive health program for newborn babies is being implemented by the City Government of Antipolo through the City Health Office in order to identify infants who are affected by certain genetic, metabolic, infectious conditions. Early identification and timely intervention can lead to significant reduction of morbidity, mortality, and associated disabilities in affected infants.
