Picture Story form
The Show revolves around Geppetto - the man who makes puppets. This
time he is making a boy puppet and he wants it to be a real talking, walking,
singing and dancing boy.

2The Show opened on a humorous note---here is
a conversation between two painters:
Painter 1: Looking at the Audience-Oh! You frightened me! Who are you? What are you all doing here? The theatre is closed. Do you see the brush and paint? We are here to paint the theatre for the next show... so I am afraid you will have to leave, and we have to get to work. So, goodbye! Ciao

Painter 2: Telling the Audience-Why aren’t you leaving? Do you still think there would be a show today? Show me your tickets. Oh, Geppetto and his Puppets. That’s a very good story. One of my favourites. It’s today! Oh dear, oh my goodness. We are so sorry, there must be some misunderstanding.

The Narrator rushing in: Narrator: Wait, wait… there is some
confusion. Don’t tell them the story. The show is today only. Good morning everyone. Welcome to the Learning Paths School Pre Primary Annual show - Geppetto and his Puppets.
Do you all know Geppetto - the man who makes puppets? This time he is making a boy puppet and he wants it to be a real talking, walking, singing and dancing boy. Funny guy! He doesn't know what he is asking for! Is raising kids an easy job? You tell me? I have 3 and believe me they are brats. Shh--- don't tell anyone I said so! But do you think Geppetto's wish can be granted? Let me take you to Geppetto's house. Keep your eyes and ears open as everything out there talks. let's go...

Geppetto: I have made so many puppets but none of them can talk to me. This puppet will be my best work ever. I wish it turns into a real boy. Someone whom I can take care of. Please Mother Fairy, make this puppet into a real boy.

Mother Fairy: Tickety.. Tickety
Tickety: Oh! Yes Mother Fairy
Mother Fairy: I want you to go to Geppetto’s house and put life in to his puppet boy.

4 Fairy: But why should we grant his wish, Mother Fairy?
Mother Fairy: Hmm.. I listen to Gepetto’s wish everyday. And I do feel sad for him. Why don’t you find out more about him. If you think he deserves so, then fulfill his wish. Is that okay with you?
Fairy: Yes Mother Fairy.
Tickty Fairy: Wow.. so many puppets! So this is what Gepetto does. And I believe this is the puppet he wants Mother Fairy to put life into. But I need to find out more about Gepetto. I wish these puppets could tell me. Hmmm.. let me try some magic. dikky dokky do.. Nothing happened! Now what’s wrong. Let me try again dikky dokky do.
Fairy: My Magic isn’t working! what should I do?
Panda Puppet: huhhh I know how it feels. Very disappointing, right?
Fairy: You can talk? Who are you?
Panda Puppet: yes, of course I can! I am Panda Puppet. Anyway you wanted puppets to talk, huhhhh?
Fairy: Yes, but-----
Panda Puppet: I don't understand people and now fairies too. When they want something and they don't get it, they cry, and when they get it they are still not happy. huhhhh?
Fairy: It's not that---
Fairy: I just realized my magic worked!
Panda Puppet: No it didn't huhhhh!!

5 Fairy: But you are talking!
Panda Puppet: huhhhh yes I am, in fact we all can sing, talk and dance too.
Fairy: How lovely!
Panda Puppet: Every night when people sleep we all come out and tell each other stories huhhhh. But Gepetto doesn’t know about it.
(Two more Puppets appear on the stage)
Mink Puppet: I am Mink the singer
Kye: I am Kye. I teach them dance.

Fairy: But I want to know more about Geppetto. And wait a minute! When all of you can already speak, sing and dance then this puppet would also be able to do so. Then why does mother fairy want me to give this wooden boy life?
Kye: Yes we all can speak, sing and dance, but only at night. And no one else can listen or talk to us.
Mink: And Geppetto has always been lovely. He was always wanted to raise a real boy.
Fairy: Why don’t you all tell me your story?
All puppets: I will.. I will
Fairy: Wait! I will choose.
Fairy: Inty pinty papa pinty thaye thas thu I choose you.
Tiny Puppet: Hi I am Tiny, the Wolf.
Fairy: Hi what is your name?
Fairy: Tell me about your story and how did Geppetto help you?
Tiny: Everyone knows the story of the 'Three Little Pigs' or at least they think they do. But nobody knows the real story, because nobody has heard my side of story.
Fairy: Wait how about we all see your story.
Tiny: But how?
Fairy: Magic. Come along everyone…

TINY'S STORYReporter: Once upon a time there lived three little pigs.
One pig built a house of straw, the second pig built his house with sticks, and the third little pig worked hard all day and built his house with bricks.
A big bad wolf went to the first house. He huffed and puffed and blew the house down in minutes. The frightened little pig ran to the second pig’s house that was made of sticks.
The big bad wolf now came to this house. He huffed and puffed and blew the house down in hardly any time.
Now, the two little pigs were terrified and ran to the third pig’s house that was made of bricks. The big bad wolf tried to huff and puff and blow the house down, but he could not.

W7 Just then a few officers arrested him and took
him away.
Officer 2: what’s your name?
Tiny: Tiny. I’m a wolf
Officer 1: really! I can see that.
Tiny: See officers, I was resting as I had terrible sneezing cold. But then I remembered it was my granny’s birthday. And I wanted to bake a cake.
Officer 2: Then what happened?
Tiny: I ran out of sugar. So I walked down the street to borrow some from my neighbour.
Officer 1: And was this neighbor one of the 3 little pigs?
Tiny: Yes, but he wasn’t too bright, who in his right mind would build a house with straws?
Officer 2: Interesting point. Go on..
Tiny: I knocked, but no one answered. Then my nose started to itch. I huffed and puffed and sneezed a great sneeze.
Officer 1: and the house came down. But what about the pig?
Tiny: Officers I really don’t know how this big bad wolf thing started, but it’s all wrong.
Office 1: Why, did you not blow away the 3 little Pigs’ houses?

8Tiny: before I could explain everything he ran to his brother’s house. I thought he would be a little smarter. His house was made of sticks. So I went and pressed the doorbell.
Officer 2: Did he give you some sugar?
Tiny: No. As I was about to tell my name, my nose started to itch. I huffed and puffed and sneezed a great sneeze.
Officer 1: And his house fell down too? Just like his brother’s?
Tiny: Yes, so I decided to forget about the cake. As I turned, I saw the third piggy’s house. It was made of bricks. He had to be the smartest of all. I rang his bell and again my nose started to itch. I huffed and puffed and sneezed a great sneeze.
Officer 2: Nothing happened to the house this time. So, what did you do next?
Tiny: Hmmm… I saw the chimney and decided to go in. But as I climbed up, you officers arrested me. You declared me a criminal!!
Officer 1: See we won’t be able to do anything, as all proof is against you.
Officer 2: We can spare you, if you promise to leave the town and never come back.
Tiny: I was so sad, lost all hope and didn’t’ know what to do, then I met Geppetto and he took me with him. This is how Geppetto got me here and now I’m very happy with my new friends.
Fairy: That’s so touching. Today we all have learnt one thing. That we must listen to both sides of any story.
Kye: Ok, Ok. All of you cheer up now. Let’s see Tiny’s favorite dance.
Tiny: Punjabi dance

Geppetto: I think I just saw the weirdest possible dream. That all my puppets were talking. But I want this one to be a real boy, my boy, my son and I will call him Pinocchio. Oh too late and I’m tired too. Goodnight Pinocchio.
Panda: Why are you crying?
Kye: Panda will you stop scaring the little yellow fellow?
Panda: Kye I’m not troubling him? huhh
Minion: Cla clu, pli pli plu, cla clu cli
Panda: What are you saying? huhhh
Minion: Cla clu, pli pli plu, cla clu cli
Fairy: What is happening?
Kye: We don’t know, and don’t know what is he saying?
Fairy: None of you can understand?
Minion: Cla clu, pli pli plu, cla clu cli
Kye: Wait… where is Mac? The intelligent one
Panda Puppet: Yes Mac, she is my best friend.
All Puppets: Yes call Mac
Panda: She must be sleeping. You see she is not perfect like me huhhhh. Mac, Mac

Panda: Mac help
Mac: Oh what is wrong Panda?
Panda: Huhh I don't know who is he and what is he saying, he is not leaving me.
Mac: Panda I think he likes your Huhhh

Mac: Panda will you stop shouting, so that I can listen to him!

Mac: I don’t know what is he speaking. I think he is an Alien!
Panda: Huuhh Alien? What should I do? Why is he after me? Mac help!
Mac: Tickty you are a Fairy! Do some magic! Make him speak our language.
Fairy: oh.. yes.. I can do that.
Minion: I know you Panda. I know you. When Geppetto was bringing you from China, I followed you both. Do you remember that dance?
Panda: Ya.. that Kung fu dance.

Fairy: I hope they reach their planet soon. Now who will tell me their story?
Witch: I will tell you mine
Fairy: Great, go ahead.
Witch: Once upon a time deep in a large forest there lived a woodcutter, his wife, and his two children, Hansel and Gretel. And some bla blu ble happened. Hansel and Gretel got lost & reached my cottage.
Fairy: Ok then?
Witch: All I remember is that those children were hungry and wanted to eat.
Fairy: Wait, let’s see your story
STORY OF HANSEL AND GRETEL
A poor woodcutter and his wife had two children named Hansel and Gretel. They had nothing to eat, so they decided to leave their children in a forest. Clever Hansel dropped some breadcrumbs on the way so that they could find their way back home. Alas! The birds ate all the crumbs and they couldn’t find the path that led back home. Hansel and Gretel went deeper and deeper into the forest. They were hungry and tired. They saw a cottage made of chocolate, candies, and cake. Now, a wicked witch lived there. When she saw Hansel and Gretel, she wanted to eat them.
But after discussing with the children she decides to let them go after they teach her a few magic tricks which will help her join the Witches' Club.

Dance Witch: are you ready to show us some magic?
Witch: yes(all puppets back on stage)
Witch: The kids had tricked me. I still couldn’t do any magic. I was disheartened. But then Geppetto saw me and got me here, he took great care of me.
Fairy: That’s so nice.
Kye: So now will you put life into Geppetto’s puppet.Fairy: I am still thinking about it. Hey what’s your story?Kye: NothingFairy: Please tell meKye: My story is very simple. As you know I love dancingFairy: Yes 5, 6, 7, 8Kye: (smile) Yes I used to teach a dance group. There was a competition and we cleared all the rounds. Reached the finals and---Fairy: Wait. Let’s see it (magic spell)

Fairy: Then what happened?
Kye: I left the group. Then Geppetto took me with him and fixed my leg.
Fairy: That’s sad
Mink: Tickty, we are the last ones to tell you about our story and then you can decide if you want to make Geppetto’s puppet a real boy or not.
Fairy: Fair enough
Mink: Mac shall we?
Mink: A long time ago Mac and I used to work in King Mufasa’s court. I used to prepare the courtroom performances and Mac was an advisor.
Mac: King Mufasa had a minister, who loved praising him, and this made the king very happy.
Fairy: wait.. Let’s see

Mac: Your Highness, any kingdom where people are happy, is a prosperous one.King: (little annoyed) Minister, which is the best language in the world?Minister: The language you speak my highness.King: Mac, now what do you have to say?Mac: There is no comparison your majesty. Every language is great in itself. King: What did you say? Guards! Take Mac away. Mink: Wait Your Majesty Wait. Let me show you something

King: Beautiful! Bravo!! Mac and Mink.. Great work. Both languages are beautiful.
Mac: Mink, I am sure there are so many people like our kings who fight amongst themselves only trying to prove that their country is better.
Mink: yes, why don’t they understand that we might look different, speak different languages and live in different counties, but we all are one.
Mac: Mink, we will travel to different places and try our best to get everyone together.
Mac: Look at all of us. We all are from different places, but we are standing together.
Mink: Yes.. Geppetto got us all here.
Fairy: Wow, now I know why Mother Fairy wanted me to grant Geppetto’s wish.
I will make this puppet a real boy. (says some magic words.)
Pinocchio: Hi!
Fairy: This is a huge world, but yet small, where we are one. Pinocchio, I have granted Geppetto’s wish and given you life so that just like Geppetto you too try to bring everyone together and make this world a better place to live in.
