1 MOSFIRE is a Multi-Object Spectrometer for the Near Infra- Red (wavelengths ~0.975-2.40 μm) We are deep in the component fabrication and procurement phase. Optics : Good progress at COSI, UCO, and other suppliers Mechanical & Facilities: Lots of fabrication complete and in- process at Caltech/UCLA shops as well as outside shops for larger components such as dewar, structure. Clean room installed in Synchrotron high bay Test & Build Stand fabrication complete Software: good progress; waiting for hardware Electronics: ramping up, EE hired @ UCLA 1 st Cold Test in planned for May 5, 2008
