pde2005 Map 2A: Georgia Tech - MARTA - Lenox Area

We will go to Mick’s restaurant at Lenox Square via MARTA (the metro Atlanta public transportation system)

1. Getting to a MARTA station from GIT:

Option A: Via the Tech Trolley: (e.g., from MARC or GIT Hotel)- Ride the trolley to the Midtown MARTA Station (N4). - See Location C on Map 1.

Option B: By walking: (e.g., from GIT Hotel or Holiday Inn Express)- Walk to the North Avenue MARTA Station (N3). - See Locations A1 or A2 on Map 1.

2. Take a Northeast line train (going towards Doraville) and get off at the Lenox MARTA Station (NE7).

3. Refer to Map 2B for directions to Lenox Square mall from the Lenox MARTA Station.

a. When you exit the Lenox MARTA station (1), you will see JW Marriott hotel (2) in the NW corner. As you walk towards it along the sidewalk, you will see Houston’s (4) and Ruby Tuesday (5) to your right on the other side of Lenox Road.

b. There is a fountain pyramid in front of the Marriott hotel (facing Lenox Road) – see the photo on this page (2).

c. The nearest Lenox Square mall entrance (3) is on the other side of the fountain pyramid going away from Lenox Road. This entrance is in between the two towers (the tower closest to the MARTA station is the hotel).

d. You will see an escalator in front of you as you proceed through this entrance (3). Go up this escalator and proceed along a hall toward the main mall area. See the mall directory to locate Mick’s restaurant (it will be on the same floor a little ways down overlooking the food court atrium).
