C o n c e p tA mobile, tablet based, 3D measurement system that determinesdeformation or displacement of points. The main focus of EZ3D is its easeof use and speed of operation.

Te c h n o l o g yThe compact, light, high resolution stereo vision system is combined withadhesive optical targets to measure accurately their relative positions withrespect to a local reference. EZ3D is designed for static applications.

I n i t i a l C y c l e

Upon taking a picture, the exact 3D location of the one or more targets will be calculatedwith respect to the nearest references.

This will be considered as the starting point or (0,0,0) coordinate for this point for allfuture cycles.

One measurement session can be composed out of

• Unlimited number of references combined with any targets

• Unlimited Cycle can be repeated for numerous times

• Snapshots for visual documentation.

I n i t i a l C y c l e :

During the initial cycle, a 3D point measurement can be converted intoa flush and gap pair.

The initial flush and gap values can be based

a) on the physical gap between the labels. In this method theapplication of the labels will need to be representative for theactual visual gap.

b) Can be based on a 3rd party gauge measurement (feeler gauges orcalipers) and entered manually.

From this point forward this target point and the drift the system willmeasure will be reported as changes in Flush and Gap.

Following the initial cycle, unlimited number of variations can be recorded.Variations can be

• Temperature

• Load

When a measurement cycle is repeated, the new XYZ values or the deltavalues of the point will be calculated immediately displayed.

In case the point was initially set up as a flush and gap point, these values willbe updated as well.

A ghost image guides the operator over all measurement points and ensuresthat the right initial location is paired with the current situation.

As EZ3D is exposed to wide temperature variations, potential drops orother accidental manipulations, the system comes with an artefact andbuild-in procedure to verify the performance over the course of thelifetime.

The user is immediately informed and the results are transferred to thereport to confirm and document the performance.
