The State Department of Housing and Community Development is Required to Identify the Housing Need for Each Region in the State
The Council of Governments works with jurisdictions to allocate a share of the regional need to each city and county.
Local Jurisdictions Update their Housing Elements

It is an effort of state and local government
The overall objective is to meet the
state’s housing goal:
Housing for all Californians
including farmworkers
This will be the 5th Regional Housing Needs Determination.
