• Find your seat using the list on the whiteboard.• Pick up an index card and a green syllabus from
the front table.• Take out a writing utensil.• Respond to the following question on your index
card:What do you think “tabula rasa” means? (If you don’t have a clue, humor me with a creative or funny guess. )

• Review over your syllabus for about 5 minutes. There may or may not be a little pop quiz coming your way! Don’t worry—it will be easy. (If you do not have your syllabus with you, try to look on with someone else.)

• Take out your completed “Over and Above” assignment and have it on your desk. Put your MLA HEADING on the back of your paper.
