This church is not about you.

As long as Hillside is about our comfort, we will gain

very little for the Kingdom of God until we die off.

This statement is really about contentment.

1 TIMOTHY 6:2-10

Teach and urge these things.

If you are believing a false gospel, you

understand nothing.

You are only as intelligent as your grasp of grace.

You are taking advantage of, whether intentionally or

inadvertently, people who are deprived of truth.

Godliness & Contentment

Be content solely in Jesus.

If I have THAT, my life will have meaning. I’ll have value and feel

significant and secure.

THAT is what you worship.

The things you daydream about in your spare time

are ultimately the things you worship.

If everything you own was taken away, what would be

your attitude towards Christ?

4 TYPES OF PEOPLE (regarding wealth)

Wealthy & righteous.

Wealthy & unrighteous.

Poor & righteous.

Poor & unrighteous.

Pursuing anything more than Jesus is an act of idolatry.

The love of money is the root of all kinds of evils.

Including the very crucifixion of Christ.

Godly men are content solely in Jesus.
