The real property tax rate is .40 cents less than the 2020 real property tax rate. The General Fund tax levied in fiscal year 2020 was 60.2 cents on real property and 61.0 cents on personal property and produced revenue of $3,681,114.05. The proposed General Fund tax rate of 59.8 cents on real prop- erty and 61 cents on personal property is expected to produce $3,961,558.26. Of this amount $511,341.29 is from new and personal property. The com- pensating tax for 2021 is 57.5 cents on real property and 61 cents on personal property and is expected to produce $3,827,104.83. ORDINANCE #2020-002 City of Springfield, KY An ordinance amending Ordinance# 2017-002 (which amended Ordinance 2014-003) in Springfield, Ky. pertaining to Nuisances and their enforcement. Whereas, KRS 82.700 to 82.725 allows for cities to adopt and enforce nuisance code enforcement and subsequently adopted an ordinance in 2014 which was amended in 2017 and now to allow for chickens to be located in the City limits, is hereby offering this amendment: Section 2.0 Definitions 2.26 FOWL – the word ‘fowl’ means any hen, rooster, chicken, duck, turkey, pheasant or other bird of same or similar nature. Section 3.11 Any ownership, possession or control in the City by anybody of: (d) Any Fowl – excludes chickens which upon adop- tion of this amendment will be allowed under these conditions: 1. A maximum of 4 chickens per house- hold may be kept outdoors only, as long as they are housed in a humane manner in a coup with a cover- ing that will not allow for chickens to fly away and so long as conditions are sanitary and not causing odors for adjoining property owners. Said chickens must re- main at all times on the owner’s property. 2. Chickens may not be kept on any parcel that is a duplex, multi- family or apartment residences, and may not be kept on property where there are commercial or industrial uses. 3.
