10 simple tips to
improve containment
effectiveness
AT SOLO CONTAINMENT WE
BELIEVE THAT
HIGH CONTAINMENT IS
POSSIBLE
WITH LOW PRICES
TIP 1: THINK NEGATIVE
Operate your Glove-Bags at NEGATIVE pressure:
Running you glove bags or flexible
isolators at negative pressure
makes a lot of sense:
Any tear ,damage or leak that
occurs during use will let air feed in
and not API escape out.
Negative Pressure maximises
operator safety:
TIP 2 : STRONG ATTACHMENTS At Solo Containment we never use bungee cord to support our glove bags.
At Solo Containment we never use ChemTape to anchor glove bags
Solo offer a number of proven – reliable gas
tight attachment systems that bond the glove
bag to the machine or base tray and work
perfectly first time, next time and every time
Out press stud tabs – make envelope
change out easy and quick.
TIP 3 : BREATHE EASY
At Solo Containment we have a
system of welding HEPA filters to the
isolator envelope:
This reduces cost , eliminates leak
paths and ensures all API
contamination stays inside the flexible
enclosure.
We can provide our isolators with
DOP injection and scanning sleeves
so you can validate safe filtration
standards at your facility.
Solo also offer:
• Push/Push safe change HEPA systems
• Screw mount transfer filters
• P3 Breather filters for short life cycle envelopes
TIP 4 : MONITOR PERFORMANCE At Solo we prefer to add instrumentation on our
flexible isolators:
If you can see the negative pressure is in the
“Safe Operating Zone”
You know Solo’s design is taking care of operator
safety
Mistakes happen: A simple pressure gauge lets
every one know all the loading zippers are
closed.
We never compromise on Operator Safety
TIP 5: GET THE CORRECT GLOVE: At Solo Containment – we offer the right spec glove for the Risk & Hazard:
Low cost cleanroom gloves for OEB 1 ,2 and 3 compounds
Double dipped Cytotoxic compatible for OEB 4 & 5
And…. Tosoh (formerly Hypalon gloves) for total impervious safety
We never compromise
on containment safety
Solo’s “Push/Push” safe change glove
system
TIP 6: ONE WAY STREET OPERATION
At Solo we design our
flexible isolators so clean
items enter via the load
airlock.
Contaminated items are
wiped down and exit
through our compact Bag-
Out port.
We have great crimping
technology
We have great training
programmes
We never compromise
safety
TIP 7: KEEP UP WITH THE
LATEST FILMS:
At Solo Containment we are able to match the price and
performance profile of your project to the right film type:
We stock:
• Anti-Static FDA grade Polyurethane

TIP 8 : OPERATOR TRAINING:
At Solo we understand that having
a great containment device is only
part of the fix:
So we offer operator training
support to ensure that good IH
practice gets the highest
performance levels from your
Solo Containment Isolator
